Wow, that felt a bit rushed. With only 8 episodes, maybe it needed to be said sooner rather than later, and it seems like Guy has chosen even though he was still feeling confused earlier that day.I don't know how P'Tew wil get away so this will be interesting.

I'm enjoying it so far and it's keeping my interest. The General Manager has gotten softer in the short amount of time since his new secretary showed up. It's nice to see the change. And all his other staff seem happier too.

I can understand YiYi's reluctance to allow Qiu Ying to get close to Xiang Kong, after all he played her pretty well in the past. And everything that has gone wrong recently was related to him. But, Xiang Kong is sincere now in repairing their friendship and has even called Qiu Ying his top fan.Qiu Ying no longer want to return to the toxic environment of her old employer, but is eager to embrace eSports commentating with Luo Tian as her idol. This time, she has Xiang Kong's support in her new endeavor. I liked this episode where I can see our leads growing slowly closer.

4/17/24 Re-watch rating 9.5Original rating 9.0Thoughts on this episode on my re-watch: (1) Nuea was totally justified in feeling angry when he felt like the third wheel after finding out Kluen liked him back. I get that best friends still hold a special place in your heart and they take up your time, but Kluen should have brought Nuea with him on whatever errand made him leave. I thought it was unfair to ask Nuea to wait, esp. since Kluen didn't know how long he was going to be away; (2) I don't think Nuea should have said yes to Phoon even for 24 hours. It just gave Phoon expectations and hope. Plus, Nuea and Kluen were already starting to talk about their mutual feelings and that was just going to make things even less clear. I think Fah may be on the right track that Nuea said yes to Phoon to spite Kluen even if Nuea said that wasn't his intent. These actions were just hurting them both. They're saying I like/love you but acting in an opposite way.

I've always said, "I only want to stay where I feel I belong." So many people leave or ask to leave. And so many people have regret because they didn't cherish their loved ones enough. This series had an amazing Part I, but Part II is even better. I didn't think it was possible.

When we think it's unrequited love, we tend to self-sabotage instead of being brave enough to admit our feelings to the other person. In Sheng Wang's case, it's even more complicated because he thinks his legal status-to-be (their parents are not even married yet) matters more than his feelings for Jiang Tian. And Jiang Tian has gotten closer to him, but it's been interpreted as brotherly affection, when we all know it's not.

Lu Wen aka Zi Yu was set up by Sun Yun Er who likes him, causing Liu MianTang to leave. I am guessing the same woman ambushed her and slit her wrists, leaving her for dead. Zi Yu had nothing to do with her injuries and still cares for her but I think MianTang is in love with the Prince now.

Yu Sen and Xi Guang found their respective work roles fulfilling, plus a happy home life with their precocious daughter. Zhuang Xu has accepted his lost love and is at peace with it, and Chris has managed to move from him. Even Kevin looks good, despite not fully recovering his lost memories from his accident.

As his assistant said, Qi Bai has given up his humanity to gain the power to rule the realm. I believe it. He sacrificed his cousin, his general and in his own words in willing to sacrifice "the closest one" to him to achieve his goals. I'm curious who Xun Ming was referring to when he said someone was backing Qi Bai. I also want to know Situ's hidden identity. For someone who supposedly has the right veins, he seems pretty powerful.

Apologies and self-reflection are often used in school and even at work. I wish Zhuang Xu would use that, esp. self-reflection, to see what he did wrong. Even a few episodes ago, he placed all the blame on Ye Rong. I understand she does carry some of it, but I still say that he carried the brunt of it. He never bothered to truly give her the benefit of the doubt, to truly cherish her and tell her how he felt. He made it a living hell for her, always being painted a homewrecker by her own dormmates, because they thought he and Ye Rong were together. So, Zhuang Xu, drowning yourself in alcohol now is of no use. "The only true regret is the one you don't learn from."

The groveling begins. I'm sure Jiang Qiao Xi had his reasons for ditching his friends, esp. Lin Qi Le. It likely has to do with his mother who seems very controlling and is a huge snob. But, he realizes he's wrong and seems to be on a quest to restart his friendship with Lin Qi Le, who wants nothing to do with him.
