WATCHABLE AND ENTERTAINING

First off, I can’t stand excessive cringey comedy, so this was a breath of fresh air! The humor was well thought out and seamlessly woven into the scenes and dialogue no forced awkwardness, just natural laughs.

I’ve got plenty of favorite moments, but episode 10 had me laughing the most. The last drama that made me crack up this much was Mr. Queen.

Oh, and I really appreciate that they didn’t push the high school love story too far even with the hints, they kept it subtle, and it worked beautifully!

I was so sure we’d see a romance between the first daughter and that guy in episode 10, but nope, disappointed there. But at least two of my favorite actors showed up as supporting characters, so that was a win!

Overall, I loved it! Such a fun watch.

Better a movie than a drama!! overhyped

I know it’s a 2019 drama, but seriously! I’ve watched slow-paced dramas before, but this one was just repeating scenes over and over. From episode 1 to 7, that was basically the whole plot! Jong-Ju’s character wasn’t used properly same people kept annoying me for seven episodes straight, and he didn’t even react!

The detective was frustrating, and the characters who kept bothering Jong-Ju made me want to slap them through the screen!

They tried to make the female police officer seem tough and dedicated, but all her decisions were just plain foolish.

I get that it’s based on a webtoon, but K-dramas need to understand that live-action is different! They didn’t need to drag things out just because that’s how it was in the original story.

Honestly, it was a waste of a strong cast and a good premise. This is exactly why I don’t trust Asian drama ratings!

COOL DRAMA

I jumped straight into Season 2 without catching up on Season 1, and surprisingly, I never felt out of the loop. The dynamics were brilliant, and the games kept leveling up with each round!

Every character delivered flawlessly they truly owned their roles.

I didn’t really fancy the pregnant girl character she’s was like a hindrance to the group cause they were always more worrried about her instead of them focusing on the game!

Now, I’m just here, patiently (or not) waiting for Season 3!

NOT A ROMANCE OR REVENGE DRAMA

First, let me be clear: Buried Hearts is a thriller, mystery, and crime drama. It’s not a revenge or romance drama, so stop calling it that šŸ˜’! The story is led by DongJu and Yeom, but the real surprise is that DongJu, who survived death eight times. He's like a cat with nine lives 🐈!

What I Loved:
- No romance! That made the show even better for me. I love it when thrillers and mysteries stay focused without adding love stories.
- The acting was amazing, and I liked almost all the characters.
- The plot felt a little fresh, though it did have some typical Kdrama elements.

What Went Wrong:
- The 16 episodes felt too long. Some parts of the story seemed unnecessary, as if they were added just to fill time.
- The story dragged, repeating the same things and having episodes that felt boring with no real action.
- The only good mystery was finding out about DongJu's father, but many people had already guessed it. There wasn’t much else that felt mysterious.
- There were a few exciting scenes, but nothing special.
- Eunnam’s character was dull, and even the housekeepers had more interesting parts.
- Tayeung ended up as ā€œramen boyā€ with no depth to his story. It would have been nice to see him have a rivalry with the other guy his age.
- DongJu and Yeom’s fights kept repeating, without anyone really winning.

The Ending:

I enjoyed the drama and everything it brought to the table, so don’t get me wrong. However, I had hoped for deeper exploration of its genres. And let me emphasize again, it’s not a revenge or romance drama! The ending felt overly rushed and lacked a solid storyline. Honestly, if this was the intended conclusion, the show would have been better as a 12-episode series.

TYPICAL KDRAMA ROMCOM

My Dearest Nemesis is a lighthearted rom-com centered around a chaebol family. I stuck with it primarily because of the second couple. The main plot is rather clichĆ©, offering nothing new in terms of storyline,it’s the classic tale of a wealthy grandson falling for a poor girl. The drama boasts great actors and good production quality, but the second couple’s story stole the spotlight for me. Despite their limited screen time, their narrative had immense potential. If only the series had explored their story further,it could have injected more life into the drama.

K-dramas should learn to strike a better balance, giving second couples well-developed storylines instead of focusing solely on the main leads!

They can do better!!

The ending felt pointless, and the kiss scene in episode 7 didn’t suit university students at all. If the story had been framed as a high school drama instead, it would have been more believable if they were young characters still figuring out their emotions and thoughts. That way, the progression of their relationship would have felt more natural and understandable.

The constant miscommunication was frustrating. Why is it such a struggle to confess feelings to a friend? Both characters failed to speak up when it mattered most, making the whole situation unnecessarily dragged out. This type of plot feels outdated and if they insist on using it, they need to execute it well or at least give us a satisfying ending!

IT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER WITH MORE EPISODES

I didn’t have high hopes for History of Lossers, but the early episodes (1-4) really impressed me! It’s a story about a group of boys embracing their so-called 'loser' status while navigating relationships and friendships. The dynamics of their friendship were a highlight for me, I loved how they always had each other’s backs.

MinGi was easily the most frustrating character, in my opinion. Plus, it felt like the controversy during filming impacted the conclusion, leaving the story unfinished. My favorite character was Ryeoun. Despite not having enough screen time or storyline development, he stood out as the foundation of their friendship group, quietly holding them together.

That said, the biggest downside was the episode length, it was too short! The rushed ending left so much unresolved, and Ryeoun’s storyline, in particular, deserved more attention. With more time to flesh out the characters and plot, the show could’ve been so much better. Still, it offered a heartfelt glimpse into the lives of boys and how they navigate their bonds and challenges.

JUST GOOD NOTHING MORE

I was happy watching it, loved the school dynamic and it was fun when Seo was engaging with the other students!

The actors did good and played their part exceptionally well! They should have dived more into the other characters stories too!

It was termed romance and it was only a fraction of it that was shown, not like I really cared, but I don’t like liars 😭!!

I didn’t watch the last two episodes after seeing one edit and I knew ā€˜twas something I didn’t want to watch!!

Let my last episodes be at the scene where he saw the body!!

It could have been better but it wasn’t bad either!!

IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT ADAPTATION GO AHEAD AND WATCH!!

This was a typical kdrama thing and the fact it was filmed few years ago makes it more understandable..

Loved the characters and they did great with their acting! It's a drama that focuses on the both heter and BL relationship!

Apart for their usual dragging of the storyline, it's pretty much a decent drama! If you missed the old teen kdrama plot then this is also for you.

Oh I didn't like the way the confession was done they should have allowed the other guy to be the one to confess first!

Anyway it was a cute, fun and friendly drama!!

JUST A DECENT DRAMA NOTHING SPECIAL

Okay! Do I like it? Yeah maybe! Will I rewatch it? No! I feel like the best part about this drama are the NC scenes! Don't get me wrong, I love NC scenes and even more if they are properly done, which they did well in this drama!

Their voices are very low when they are not in their NC scenes and their acting is pretty much Thai BL standard nothing special!

I know it's an adaptation but they should have given it more life since it's a live action!

The visuals are great and really but the acting could have been more better!

So far this is my first BL I'm watching after Gelboys and I can say they tried!!

The cinematography was impressive, too! Hopefully, they secure a better budget for Season 2 to elevate the production even more.

And they should never try to end a drama like that again, it doesn't give longing and what to look forward to! Rushed ending too with little to no reason for the episode!

A TRUE PLOT TWIST DRAMA

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!🫢 KARMA IS REALLY A BITCH!!

I actually watched it when it dropped and I was mesmerised by the plot twist!! I never expected things to turn out the way it did in this drama!!

From the main characters to the supporting characters did absolutely great!!

Karma is really a bitch and it was served with cold beer at the end!!

The drama is so short that I felt they should have given us more but I’m not a selfish person😃

The end was my fav twist about the doctor, till this day, I’m still thinking about the whole drama 😭.
