I think you underestimate the toxic mob. Let's assume KSH is right, how could he prove that to people who enjoy engaging in scandals? They'll always say something like "oh, he apologised, this means he admits his guilt", "oh, he is on a hiatus, this means he's guilty, otherwise, he would explain himself" or "oh, he's explaining himself so much, this is suspicious, I'm sure he's guilty".

The only way to get rid of these kind of people is by waiting until they found a new scandal somewhere else.

In Korea (and also in the West) companies hate scandals. They don't care who is right or wrong. They just care about their money. KSH would have lost the money anyway because no company wanted to be associated with "THAT guy".

And even people who believed him and did want to do projects with him had to think twice because there are also other people involved in the projects, poor(er) people who often cannot afford to lose money. Making dramas/films is expensive. A lot of people work hard to make a drama, not just the actor in front of the camera.

You don't have to like KSH, and you also don't have to believe him but I think that we should take everything we read, hear or see with a grain of salt. There are people out there whose only goal in life is to destroy other people, and they constantly publish lies to either make us engage in their shitstorm or to generate them money or both.

Even IF he asked her to abort the child, that's still not forcing. As long as it remained her decision to keep or abort, I do not see any problem. Women also abort children if they feel it could hurt their career. Foster cares and children's homes are full of unwanted children. And the world is overpopulated. No need for more unwanted children.

If a woman aborts a child just because the father promised to marry her next year if she aborts now, that's her decision, even if the decision might be fairly stupid. You always have to expect that a relationship won't last. You always have to expect to regret a decision. Even if the bf or gf meant his/her promise back then, does not mean that they'll always think this way.

In a modern society, nobody should be forced to remain in a relationship or marry somebody because of a promise or a child. And no woman should be forced to keep or abort a child for whatever reason. Women, just as men, make stupid decision all the time. That doesn't mean that men are always responsible for a woman's stupid decisions. Women are not children. They are grown-ups with brains. Some of us enjoy blaming others for their own stupid decisions but many of us are able to acknowledge our own mistakes.

I don't get why so many people claimed he was acting stupid and weak. He wasn't. He was just socially awkward if you will but you could see in his eyes that he was constantly up to something. I tend to believe that people lose their capability of detecting irony, cynism and sarcasm because, nowadays, many people believe that irony, cynism and sarcasm only happen if somebody ends a comment with "\s". For an IQ of 200, ML wasn't smart, just fantasy smart, which was cringey. Unlike Jamie in the last episodes and the other FL, he wasn't stupid, though. Compared to them, he was indeed a mastermind.

I do remember the controversy but as long as he didn't force his ex to get an abortion, I could not care less about his private life. Breakups can be nasty, especially if one of the partners feels hurt. I heard absurd stories by friends who felt hurt by a breakup, and some of their stories didn't make much sense. Instead of believing everything they claimed, I interpreted it as venting, which is fine as long as the claims remained in a private context. Venting feels good.

Since I'm interested in fictional K-dramas, I usually don't associate an actor with his private life but with his work as an actor. And don't confuse me with a horny fan. I find this actor fairly ugly but I like his work so far. I enjoyed two dramas in which he acted.

Exactly. This apologize culture for having made people uncomfortable because somebody claimed something enables and encourages those toxic people who do not care about the truth anyway. An apology might have made sense back then but, by apologising now, all he does is rehashing this story instead of restarting/pursuing his career.

If you are right, the drama is fairly badly written and casted in my opinion because it was very obvious that, as soon as Jamie's identity got revealed as a twin, her character became obsolete for the rest of the story. She was only good as a bait and to talk to the ML when he became a monster. That scene reminded me of one of the Scary movie scenes.

At the beginning, before she had been revealed as a twin (not younger sister, which would have made more sense with the casting), she was proactive and pushing the investigation forward with her expertise as an FBI agent. The story would have worked if Jamie had been ML's childhood friend. And no, the drawing didn't look like ML just with longer hair to me. Also, artists tend to draw their own or the same features when drawing fantasy faces. That doesn't mean that they are looking for their twins.

With my interpretation, the drama felt well written at the beginning, then many ideas felt dropped later on, which sadly happens in many dramas and which is a reason why I rated this drama better than I would have rated it otherwise. With your interpretation, the whole drama just feels poorly written/structured, so I prefer to stick with my interpretation.

Omg, I totally forgot about that character. A lot got dropped in this drama. I'm still wondering what happened to the two old people in the beds in the laboratory. One of them was the bad guy's wife but who was the other one? And what happened to them after the secret laboratory had to move to a new location?

I completely agree with you regarding the romance. To me, it seemed as if the writers suddenly changed their mind and put an abrupt end to the romance by making Jamie his twin. Her being his twin made no sense in the context of what had been shown before. The boy in the scenes about the past was clearly older than the girl. And after they made Jamie his twin, she simply became a burden and a bait for the remaining episodes. Even if the writers decided against romance, they shouldn't have downgraded Jamie to a replacable character.

The writers had many good ideas but they seemed to have dropped most of it for the sake of a very simple ending. Well, at least the ending made sense and didn't contain any unnecessary drama.

No, there wasn't any problem with the younger version. FL was supposed to be part of the national team when ML was already an university student. I doubt that the young actress was supposed to portray a 40 year old woman. Professional athletes are usually way younger than 40. And the story claimed that FL was at the beginning of her career, which she gave up for her niece before it started. Even a 30 years old younger version would have been too old for this story.

If you don't believe me, check, for example, Wikipedia. The female athletes of the Korean handball national team who are in their 30s became members of the national team when they were in their 20s.

If the writers wanted a 50+ yo FL, they should have written a story where the age gap makes sense.

I enjoyed this series but I felt the writing was a bit lazy in the second half of this drama. The episodes in the hospital were just pure fantasy. The writers didn't even bother to make the story at least somewhat believable. The ending of this drama felt a bit rushed. There was no real showdown. Two quick visits by the rainbow taxi members, which took like 5 minutes screentime, and the whole criminal organisation collapsed. Instead, new characters were thrown in in the last few minutes of the last episode. An attempt to make the drama more interesting?

The action and the coolness didn't disappoint, though. I'm looking forward to season 3 and hopefully better written episodes. :)

In the flashback scenes, FL and ML were almost the same age, maybe FL was 1-3 years older than him. And suddenly, when they meet years later, the age gap is much bigger than before? This makes no sense.

The story was relatively interesting but there were not enough ideas to fill 16 episodes. Season 2 felt extremely dragging. :(

Maybe "Something About 1 Percent"? "Oh my Venus"? "Her Private Life"?

Don't try to do the maths. The flashback makes no sense regarding the FL's age compared to the present. All we know is that FL is older than ML.

If you find the first episode too boring to stay awake, don't waste your time with this drama.

Like in the West, companies don't want to be associated with negativity. That's why scandals and "scandals" are so dangerous for careers. Certain people love to scandalise everything. The average Korean man/woman probably does not care about celebrities's private lives but a loud minority does. That minority loves to ruin other people's lives. The "scandals" are usually just excuses.

What do you mean by "like this"? A romcom? A celebrity dating a non-celebrity?

Since Nam Kang-ho became famous, he seems mostly knows arrogant female celebrities, older women or crazy fans. I think it's not unreasonable for him to remain suspicious of women despite having met Mi-ran.

I recently read that they seem to be able to distinguish between being a fan and being obsessed but they do not care. They don't want to be like the normal fans because they believe that their idol will remember them only if they do something extreme. A normal fan will most likely immediately be forgotten. They take pride in being or trying to be recognised.
