Agree. I found him fairly relatable to a certain degree, which is why I felt he was the most interesting character in this drama. Despite the violence, he had soooo many chances to stop.
i understood beomseok at first, he was not fine. but he went too far. sieun tried to help the situation but he…
I felt the same about Beom-seok but I really enjoyed the unusual story. In other dramas, Beom-seok would have learnt from his mistake, and everybody would have been friends again, which would have been rather predictable.
Maybe you should tag this with SPOILER. Click the 3 dots, click the Spoiler box, click save.
Well, I did get slightly offended cause your comment felt relatively impolite. However, if you (or somebody else) think that my comment revealed too much information, I'm happy to mark it as a spoiler. No problem.
As for me, I read the comment section below dramas before watching them. I mainly look for specific questions such as mine to figure out if a story is complete nonsense or if the main character is grooming minors. Unfortunately, I cannot know what hidden comments contain before clicking "Reveal spoiler".

Done, even though I don't think that I revealed anything relevant. At least not more than other people in this comment section who didn't use the "Spoiler" tag.
Maybe you should go back and rewatch the episode to understand better. Those were two sets of couples..Mr Jung…
Ah, ok, that makes sense. I thought, since the apartments are in high demand, that somebody checks whether the buyers are in fact parents and whether they actually live in those apartments. Otherwise, a rich couple could buy multiple of those "family" apartments and rent it out for profit.
You are right about the realism in this drama. I don't expect much but I don't appreciate it if the writing is "too cheap". The stories have been somewhat complex and intriguing so far. Not many dramas/movies dare to touch these sensitive topics, which is something I like a lot about this drama. I think the writers are pretty good which is why I wished they had put a bit more effort into the details.
Anyways, thanks a lot for explaining these things to me. At least, the story about the children make a bit more sense to me. I'm looking forward to the next episode(s). :)

Thanks for the explanation. That's what I figured, too. However, at the beginning, it was said that he had about 30 apartments. He's even a celebrity/influencer/public figure. I doubt that nobody ever noticed that these apartments were such "government" apartments for couples.
Furthermore, the couples were supposed to claim to have a biological child and basically immediately file for a missing report after they got the apartment. Since the couples have at least one "family" picture in their apartment and probably sent it to the police (for the report), there is no way that the police don't realise that the missing children look alike.
Also, when the bad guy tells ML and FL that they have to fill in a birth certificate(?) to claim the pregnants child were theirs, the family photo with the older children would not make any sense. Also, if nobody checks whether couples do have a child, I don't see any reason why the baby could not be the "real" baby of multiple couples. Or simpler: Why bother dealing with existing children if one could simply forge everything? Stockphotos or some AI would have been much simpler and less stressful.
I think you are right about the writers's idea but it still does not make much sense to me. It's almost as if the police does not exist anymore in this drama.

Maybe you should read my comment again. I didn't realise that those were two different couples. They looked exactly the same on my (small) screen. Same height difference, same faces, same hair cuts. I watched the part twice.
"You score higher for the eligibility of getting an apartment by the government scoring system if you have children." Ok, but the bad guy got the apartments in the end, which didn't make much sense if the government gave those apartments to couples with children only.
When they were trying to decide whether to help Kim Do Gi out of the burning building or go after the kids, couldn't…
For me, the worst thing was that they spent minutes sitting in the car discussing whether they should follow the car or help Kim Do-gi. Instead of discussing, they could have helped him.
Episode 6 made little sense to me. Jang Sung-chul visited the two children living with their adoptive parents. However, just a few minutes later, the adoptive parents live somewhere else and get visited by Kim Do-gi? Also, the children's role in the bad guy's scheme was not explained properly. I still don't know what the idea behind this story was (apart from bad guy doing bad stuff). :/
So after finishing season one a week ago, I'm finally catching up on season 2 (third eps now) and i'm already…
I haven't seen the actor in any dramas before (I think), so I'm unbiased in this respect. Nevertheless, he's like 5 seconds in this drama and already veeeeeeeeeeery interested in the main characters AND snooping about. How is that not suspicious? XD
Is NIW a bad actor or did he just have bad luck? I mean, just because his previous dramas flopped (did they?)…
No worries, you are entitled to your opinion. I understand that you are coming from a good place and that you have the best intention in mind for PMY. However, I consider it part of cyberbullying when random people on the internet demand that actors should reject a role even before the drama was released.
You don't know if PMY is suffering from the criticism she recives. You also don't know her opinion about the role in this drama and the age gap. Maybe she wants take this role. Maybe she wants to be part of this drama. Maybe she wants to be in the same drama as one of the actors you don't deem fit for the role.
Imagine she would read your comments. Would she be happy? Probably not. When feeling sad/depressed (for example, due to cyberbullying), she would probably prefer to read something like "I'm looking forward to seeing PMY in her new drama" by a fan.
I don't regard myself as a fan of anyone but I would love to see PMY in a revenge drama. I also don't mind the age gap as long as the FL is not grooming some minor like the ML in "Goblin".
Is NIW a bad actor or did he just have bad luck? I mean, just because his previous dramas flopped (did they?)…
I did watch "Queen for Seven Days". To me, it's the same role. PMY is always cute, flirty, a bit crazy but still lovely. I'm currently watching Healer. Same role albeit a bit more hyperactive. I also started a few other dramas with her in it but I'm not that into romance, so I dropped most of them.
By the way, if you read my previous answer again, you'll notice that my question was about "rising actors", not about NIW. The age of a "rising actor" is not limited to <30 years old.
And why do you even care about "the hate" PMY gets? She's rich, she's been successful for years. By telling actors to reject a role just because some people might criticise the actor, you give those people more power than they actually have.

I recently watched "River where the moon rises" and I thought NIW did a good job. The annoying Mary Sue story was mediocre, though, which is certainly not the actors's fault.

Ok, I don't know the webtoon, so I am willing to trust you in this respect and believe that NIW might not be the right fit for portraying Yoo Ji Hyuk, for example, because of the age gap which is not true to the webtoon. That's a good argument.
However, why can't "a rising star" be Yoo Ji Hyuk?
I watched a few PMY dramas. She seems to play the same role in each drama. Same set of cute facial expressions, same way of talking. Very predictable. I like PMY and her "same role" but I don't see why a skilled "rising star" should not be the ML.
Is NIW a bad actor or did he just have bad luck? I mean, just because his previous dramas flopped (did they?) does not mean that they flopped BECAUSE of him and that he will make "Marry My Husband" flop or PMY look bad.
According to estimates put forth by AFP, reports of child abuse in the country—including neglect and emotional…
@Strwberis, I hope you are aware that "have risen more than tenfold" does not mean that there are more victims than in the "good old past". Unfortunately, most people don't realise that "have risen" just means that more cases have been reported.
Great actors. This drama started promising. It felt a bit lengthy but since most of the characters were well written, I remained interested until episode 13. Despite ML's past, the relationship between him and FL is healthy. I really liked the FL, which was surprising because I thought she would be a tough Mary Sue but, fortunately, I was wrong. I even got used to the actress's botox face.
Just the last like 4 episodes felt reeeeeally draggy as if the authors suddenly had no ideas for the team genie storyline anymore, instead they rushed through a gang crime story where the intelligent characters suddenly behaved in a stupid way, and the crime story ended in like 5 minutes with no real showdown. The last 2 episodes were full of blah blah and basically no story. I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed but, at least, there is a happy ending.
