Title Fragile
I'm actually looking forward to this. After watching what feels like, every country in Europe's remake of this show, it's refreshing to see it in a Korean context. I wonder what the Korean equivalent of the Russ bus will be, or if they will just scrap that.

My biggest fear and what I am most curious about is actually the future seasons (if they are even renewed). Because lbfr, Korea is not known for adressing challenging topics in nuance, especially in TV. I'm thinking particularly about Season 3 and 4. Noora's season is typical Kdrama lol.

it looks sm like skam how is it not related?
I orginially thought they couldn't obtain the rights for a remake which is why they scrapped and retitled to Fragile. But so far the first story is mimicing Eva's, so I have no idea. Maybe Fragile sounds better in korean.

Lol, did anyone else notice that every shirt Taichi wore mentioned New york or one of its boroughs (I think just Brooklyn).

Also, I'm guessing the OST songs have yet to be released, but the ending song is beautiful. And because of it, I have now discovered Kawasaki Takaya.

Randomly scrolled to read the comments and I came across your comment. There are 2 episodes left FYI. HAHA!Also…
Haha! Thanks, I did start it and have only got through episode one so far! Getting ready to stary episode 2. So far, Sanpei's character is interesting

Finally got around to finishing this and just want to echo others in saying that they actually outdid their first season. The cast probably had so much fun filming this.

I like how in some parts you can tell they are clearly just adlibbing. There's one scene where Tanaka Kei turns his head and is openly just laughing during the scene. All the pop culture references were fun to catch too (e.g. Transit Love, Ainori, the bachelor, etc) and the sitcome like camera work was a nice touch.

This is such an odd comment to make. If you like Shogun, just say that.Michael Mann only directed the pilot episode,…
I think you need to re-watch the first two episodes of the first season. The Micheal mann influence was not as significant as you think it was. Also, yes, the first director sets the tone, but it's also a means to gain an audience by name dropping. Once again, just because something is not an exact replica of its source material does not make it inherently bad.

This second season is absolutely horrendous. It diverges from the book quite a bit, Michael mann's influence is…
This is such an odd comment to make. If you like Shogun, just say that.
Michael Mann only directed the pilot episode, so I'm not sure what "influence" you speak of. And something being "bad" because it veered away from the book is such a tired arguement. Not everyone is a book reader.

Title Tokyo Vice Season 2 Spoiler
I've been waiting since season 1 to see Sato ascend to Oyabun. I'm really curious to see how he fits into the grander political plot, because so far he actually has been relatively outside of it.

Also I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but Samantha annoys me.
On Turn to me Mukai-kun Jan 23, 2024
I really enjoyed this, some dull moments, but overall loved the discussions and themes presented. Also, I am grateful the end didn't compromise that message or suddenly have a character make a decision that was out of characterization for the sake of a trope or what the viewer wants.

Some random thoughts: I found Mami a bit too cryptic, episode 8 was my favorite, laughed out loud when he tried to run but pulled a muscle.

So glad I was able to catch this in theaters. This is one of those stories that just take you along, and I definitely think it's better to go in with little knowledge. Loved the way the film weaves childhood innocence and adult realism to create something beautiful yet tragic.

Also the kid who plays Hoshikawa Yori was beyond adorable.
On Godzilla Minus One Dec 14, 2023
Word of mouth brought me to the theater to watch this film. Definitely glad I did. In my mind, Godzilla films live where films like Marvel and The Fast & Furious live. I went in with low expectations and walked out pleased.

Also, Ando Sakura is having a great year between this and Brush up Life. I will be seeing 'Monster' next week in theaters where she also has a lead role. Looking forward to it.

I recently realized how much I love Takahashi Issei as an actor and have been slwoly going through his catalogue. I didnt go in to this drama with much expectations at all, but ended really loving it and finishing the series in two days. My bigget pet peeve when it comes to writing in Japanese dramas is when the main characters become preachy and overtly moral, but Kazuki sensei manages to toe that line well.
On My Lovely Liar Oct 31, 2023
At minimum, this show could have been 4 episodes shorter. Personally, I was at an awkward spot where I wanted to drop this but I was already more than halfway through.

Also, before this aired, I totally thought this was going to be a coutroom drama.

I thought it was interesting that they went on a date in Chinatown, because I had no idea until now that there…
I have not watched this show and am just scrolling through the comments, but this is such a great question. This is a prime example of something I never knew I was curious about too till someone asked.
On Long Vacation Aug 9, 2023
Finally got around to watching this classic in 2023, and it is still worth the hype. The only thing that didn't age well was the video quality, lol.

Maybe I'm getting old and nostalgic, but Japanese drama writers and producers were in their bag in the 90s and first decade of the 2000s.

is it subbed? do you know when they're going to release them worldwide?
Yes it is subbed! And sorry but i don't know about worldwide release. There are subtitles available in Thai, Indonesian, filipino, vietnamese, and Malay. So i'm assuming it's also available in those areas 🤔.

Also 4 episodes out right now even though the counter says only one is out.
