as shown. He has his own agenda but ultimately does love her. The most evil thing he does towards her is probably the constant lying.

Tbh I’m not sure if I had ever seen any pure Wuxia shows on MDL ever receive high ratings.

Watched her as Mu Nianci and now as Mei Chaofeng and I can tell you there is a huge difference. Personally I think Ziyi had improved a lot throughout all the years and don’t deserve all the flak that she gets
