Ok I need to ask, WHY does murderer shen (name taken from comments here) tell the Princess that he won't be able to protect her....WHY does he want to protect her?
Also in today's episode, he seemed willing in being intimate with the princess.
So does he actually care for the princess?
While he'd also cared for the wife & was unwilling to murder her... But was willing to link up with the princess to go up the ladder? I'm remembering the scene when he comes out of the palace the 1st time, XFF is waiting on the side, but he instead waits for the princess who asks if he's been waiting for her, and AFTER this is when shen even notices his wife standing on the side!!!
Makes me think we were mislead in the beginning about shen being the victim... But now it seems he may just be ambitious, open to multiple partners & have a tiny bit of remorse for murdering her as in his memories she's nice.... however, there's been no regret/remorse for killing her family...& The fact is that he's going on with his life & prospering & doing well for himself ....!

So it looks like he is willing in the affair with the princess & only was unwilling to murder the wife. And what's this about him protecting the princess??? Why? Let her go get killed 🤬

I dont think it was mentioned again. I think because there are so many people (servants) in the father's mansion, they look after the cat.

They didn't have much fun opportunities but he does have a gentle demeanor with her, and small smiles that reach his eyes ..

Blossoms of Adversity - what a good actor! and he's just 11 and expressed/acted so well!

Blossoms of Adversity - OMG! I believe all parts of his character, so scary! what a good actor!

This is a really good show - there are so many elements that are done superbly well. Yes, there are action and drama scenes - again done very well. Like, you want to go back and rewatch kinda well. and the opening scene with the young FL is memorable to me, as are some of the scenes.

He gets better. and when you see his life story + situation, I felt his behavior (& acting) is actually on-point. As it goes on, their exchanges and his expressions show the change in his character.

so many of them are over-rated.

honestly, neither of these girls can. The story itself sounds interesting, but with poor actors, it will go south so fast!

I guess if i hear good things I'll check it out 😊 I've just learnt that there are a trillion shows & its okay to drop, not watch just because everyone else is... & Go with whatever i enjoy .. with hsh she's never seemed authentic in the clips I've seen and maybe the storylines of her shows don't appeal to me...

I like what I've seen of JJS, cant stand HSH since the beginning... the story sounds interesting but not sure if i can suffer through watching HSH... I guess I'll have to skip this one.

Update: I have seen only 1 show of JJS and she is okay-ish. I'm not impressed enough to watch her other shows.

Or if he turns out to be the villian?!!

2 episodes in, i am hooked and invested. going to make sure I finish my work this week on time, so i can watch the next episode as soon as it releases!! 2 episodes a week are TOO less! anyone listening?

Really well done.
And the fight scenes are excellent!
& That opening ship scene...wooh!!
The characters are so well fleshed out .. no discrepancies even with the smallest role!
Great quality drama so far!
