For a little context: Before 2020, 13 was the age of consent. The teacher first saw him in a gay bar at night in regular clothes and dark lighting. Only on returning to school did he realize the truth. Woo relentlessly pursues Hoon to the point of blackmail. Woo is not portrayed as a child with childish feelings. He knows himself. Hoon keeps his distance but struggles with his feelings for the self aware determined student. This entire story is done in 2012. The controversial parts are the teacher - student relationship, gay and age gap.
If this is frowned on in this show, why was it acceptable with Mr Sahara & Toki-Kun and Does The Flower Bloom?
I suggest you watch the show with an open mind, captured in the year it was filmed and judge.
If I have to sell a kidney to fund part 2, I'm doing it.
Hey, before the brother's throat remember he had a morning salute, so cut him some slack. Or them shorts. Tian had me sweating 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why you wanna do Benny like that? Xi needs that rubber chicken. And yes, that english teacher needs to have several seats. Blind people could see what was between them.
The only issue I had with the ending was that Wang told him that he would always be honest with him. I didn't expect a "wo ai ni" but to switch lanes and blind side him...nah. But honestly, I still loved it because had they covered them reaching to that point, season two 🤞🤞wouldn't have the expectation it has.
Okay, after reading your review, I'm not so sad anymore. Always put a smile on my face 😁😁😁
At first I was so angry that he cheated with the ex, but then I understand, and your insight of it is on point,…
OMG, I was speechless! Like mourn the loss of 10 years of friendship for at least 2 min out of respect. I blinked and they were cuddling like "Min Ji, who". I was picturing Jeong Ha snapping his fingers saying, "That's my man". Dae Young needed to be slapped with your "rubber chicken" for being so weak. 😆😆 They really did deserve each other.
Great review and insight. How they both showed love was different but every effective. In that scene when Keito…
Thank you 😊
As much as I tried to prepare myself, the last two episodes brought out the waterworks. Keito crying had me saying "My poor baby". I especially loved their end and the end. Felt complete.
Tonkla was the sh*t! He knew how to get what he wanted and when he wanted. I believe he was playing a game of survival at the end. Win was playing by the rules which he and the black cat didn't like. Poor Win all that raw dogging to lose in the end. I don't know why I felt sorry for him.
Great set up his parents so that they wouldn't return at all. They would be on the run for life. I didn't like Tyme because he looked devoid of any true feelings. Only granny got a little warmth. The sex between them was as cold as his expression. Even at the end, I didn't feel it with Great. 8 episodes of confusion.
What was confusing was if the 4 min was the matrix, how could Great not change his future? So then the 4 min was just wishful thinking about his past? So when Tyme was breaking up with the Dr, was granny alive or dead? Because she told him to bring granny for treatment? Wasn't granny supposed to be already dead? They tried to clean up this show with a very dirty mop. Gave more questions than answers.
There were actors that made me still watch to the lame romantic end cause there was no romance between Great and Tyme. Just suspicions and booty calls. Bible, Bas and Fuaiz were the ones that brought the best in every scene. I especially like Bas' facial when the girl told him to give up Fuaiz and the whole shoot out scene. Bible, well it's Bible, his penetrative eyes and versatility. Fuaiz, the manipulative crazy was understood.
Looking forward to you next review cause I'm always smiling all the way through.
Listen...... Kleur and his shenanigans had me cussing the who time. Why kind of snotty nose back stabbing idiot was he. Did he really think that after Chef Oab basically ate the new menu (Plawan) he really stood a chance. Come on, the boy don't want you. From the first side eye brush off he should have known.
I watched the series for one reason alone: Sailub's kissing. That man could teach a master class in lip placement, hand positioning and gradual intensity. All I kept thinking was "Pon, you lucky devil". There is no way anyone can convince me that was Chef Oab character. From Pit Babe to this, the man knows how to buckle knees.
I was a bit disappointed in Methas and JJ. Idk but something is a bit off in their chemistry. I half expected Methas to have more swag in his delivery. Then JJ got the man leg on his shoulder pressing down and he just blinks and walks away from that. Like there was no sexual tension after that. It was just a matter of fact. The writers could have had him plant one of Sailub style kisses on him, after a few minutes be shocked at his weakness, apologize and then leave. Methas can serve the looks but JJ was like "erh" (in Thai, of course).
Plawan's goofiness, child/man behaviour and sassiness brought it home for me. I thought the second couple syndrome would kick in, it didn't. Even with Chef Oab permanent grumpy face, they were my best couple. The only peeve I have with Uncle Alan/Chef Oab it to relax a little. Sailub is too reserved that he always appears older, then again if that's what finally got him noticed to make money, keep at it but don't get boring.
Ssksks, definitely in the Sheldon Cooper club!! No, but I really liked Taichin's character. Yes, the moment Takara…
🤬😭😭👈 me after the ban... my sweet baby just got his hearing aid too.
I just searched and The Time of Fever got a release date of 12th Sept so 🙃. But I won't believe it until it happens cause it was originally on May 15th. 🤞
Ssksks, definitely in the Sheldon Cooper club!! No, but I really liked Taichin's character. Yes, the moment Takara…
I hope that you will like Unintentional Love Story. The second couple was a hit that a spinoff - The Time Of Fever - was made and released but blocked internationally. Korean. I'm hoping that some way some how I get to see it..
Hi, I liked the tone of your review as it relected the mood of the entire series. I read it in a calm inner voice..... ah the effects of Taichin. Bird watching, pudding and those hiking outfits had me rolling. That's Sheldon Cooper and Erkel's missing club member.
Honestly, it snuck up on me. All the huhs and ehs hooked me in the end. I loved how Taichin went through an evaluative process of elimination for what he was really feeling for Takara. From gratitude to needing his senpei. He's so small, kind and honest that Takara didn't stand a chance and had to soften himself. I liked how he helped Takara to see himself in a positive light and was able to actually laugh.
It's not stalking when all he wanted to say was thank you, because you know letters don't work anymore. He needed to travel to Takara' school, away from his family, live in a crappy apartment just to look his senpei in the eyes, to show his gratitude. Nah, that's not stalking. Let's be real, Taichin had an agenda but the thing is, he didn't understand it himself. He is genuinly so innocent that at uni age he didn't know that men can like men.
When Takara called him idiot/stupid, I'm reminded of Unintentional Love Story when Tae Joon told Won Young the same thing when he realized how naive he truly was. Maybe it's time for a re-watch.
It was an easy watch. It was slow, almost uneventful and nothing angsty. It was also nice, calm, self revealing, inspiring (don't be too jaded) and sweet. They fall inlove without the drama.
i thought "For Him", "Omg Vampire" & "1000 years old" were like the top3 worst bl dramas of the year...But now…
Please keep Love Sea in the race - we still have 4 months to go. Besides the sex scenes what else carried the series. I love FortPeat but Peat's tantrums and trauma responses coupled with Fort's 'idol' grin was just horrible. And let's not forget the must have one irritating complaining erratic female.
I am truly angry at myself for losing 12 hrs of my life to this complete mess of a series. After reading this, I feel like I'm not alone.
Things I liked: Salin clothes First few episodes where Sam was pursuing Yo in such a slick way that Yo wasn't too sure if he was or wasn't. Sam's look of frustration when Sun and Salin were caught on the stairs- pure gold Juldis - how fast that man hit the floor when Madam Wang showed up, like he was born to be on his knees (not in a good way) to please her. Sam pretending his mother wasn't there when he was caught.
Things I hated: Every fricken thing else
Reasons: How did Sun know that Salin needed to see the picture of the old man? How did Salin suddenly get inspired / mental footnotes just from touching it? In the beginning, Salin was so traumatized by his dreams that he woke up crying. In the end, someone dies, he wakes up and goes to do a drawing? I guess that's rich people's mentality- there was money to be made. I will allow for Salin, Sun and Sam to throw in some english as they lived abroad at some time, but like Pim was irritating the f out of me. Not on the level of Playboyy but really really close. Unless your name is Vegas, please do not do it. How did they allow these actors who have great chemistry to act like 16 year olds with a first crush? Thai bl should use Kinnporsche as a reference everytime they are about to do a sex scene. Even Big Dragon was not this clinical. How did Sun feel looking like a perv massaging his leg while watching Salin bathe? The look was not sexy. The script was so sanitized it felt ewwww! Pim (seriously do Thai writers know how some words are used internationally) and Prim (the level of ice in her veins up until ep 9- the name fit) was not happening. Would have been a better storyline had Pim stayed adoring her for drawing skills - think Devil wears Prada. ALL the cringe poses - sexual and non sexual.
I gave it a 3 for Sam and Yo and Chan and Juldis.
Note to self: Do not keep watching after ep 3, if it's not happening by then. Move on. Love Sea was bad enough.
Understandable you don't wanna watch 'reality' again, wasn't sure which part of it was real and which was scripted.I've…
Royota probably has self esteem issues. I believe when Gensei told him " You are a catch", it resonated with him. He should have left at the same time or even before Gensei did.
And yes you do write so well, it's very entertaining.
Oh yes he did, then went let's go the the bridal chamber... ^^he must really love riding...horses🤭 Oh, I'm…
Max Nattapol / Max minus Tul, sigh. Yes, it seems I have a type 🤭
I'm wondering if he does reach the throne would he try to persuade SY, since that looks like a one sided love affair happening there. Why did he need to sleep in the same room with SY so badly...hmmmm🤔
Let's suppose H likes sitting on top of the ..... horse so he would be the wife. So if at the brothel he suddenly became the husband, poor XB probably couldn't bear it. But I do agree, embarrassment alone would have killed me. H's anger and the way he carried him out infront of everyone was enough to move to another planet. One thing about XB, he was resilient.
This will be my first and last reality watch. I hate people "acting" out their lives for our entertainment. Let's be real, how much would they really do if the camera wasn't there. It's bad enough when actors make their parts so believable that you want to scream but to see Shun's actions rewarded by always keeping Dai in limbo was a little too much. Yes by now we know that they are still together but it seems like Dai dimmed his personality to be with Shun and princess Shun remained the same.
They even named the show correctly, The Boyfriend. How many actually got one? I felt like Kazuto only chose Alan for him not to look too picky. He had so many interested and if he left without choosing, how would that look.
Alan and Shun came accross as the opposite ends of the spectrum. Each and everyone else were fillers. I was genuinely happy when Usak left. Whether it was for work or being shot down, why stay if the other dishes weren't interesting. He got pride.
What I truly like about your reviews is that it's hilariously descriptive with a sassy personality. Looking forward to the next one. 😁

Powers that be, let it be a short. Benny's been suffering too long man. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
