Yes, liked it very much. Just keep in mind they are a small production company. If you keep that in mind they are…
I practically live on youtube for those promoted there. I only watch these on the official channel. QD, Sukfilm, Love Memory etc. It does not make sense to watch elsewhere. I use others for larger productions that can't be seen otherwise especially if it is geo blocked or without translations. So I do support as best as I can. Also, take into consideration the multiple productions, and most requiring a member fee to view their content eg Gagaoolala, Iqiyi etc Adding all that plus Netflix is costly.
It's okay. There are some good moments. There are some overacted moments. Very small production but good for the…
I understand. I know there is a patreon account but it will cost you to view their content. I don't think they will reload it as they have not been active on either. Other than the last ep.

Unfortunately, Queer Deep has removed 1-3 and has only 6. Queer Deep Plus has 4 and 5. Not sure why but I knew there were Youtube issues. You can find the missing episodes in other places. B and DailyM
This is a lakorn, the vilain is always over the top. Pond is doing what the director tells him to do. He's doing…
yes, the villian is always eccentric but here, as he is following the director (he would do as he is directed), feels borderline crazy rather than desperate. It's like he is charging the role too strong. Also yes, at times he is funny. I did enjoy the night he did sneak out in the rain to catch them after he could not do his homework.
In contrast, same role basically, the scheming gambling in-debt uncle from LITM.
In 180 degrees, yes he was passionate in the performances, full of energy when he was angry but there was a counterbalance when he wasn't.
In Reset it was totally warranted as he was frantic to not repeat the past.
BLQ is a victim of his society too, he feels the pressure of the expetations other have on him and despite what…
Yes, agreed he has pressure on his end, but his method of 'handling' LXF is horrible. It is always his friend, who is the most kind and fair to LXF, who has to decode everything for LXF rather than him. That eviction was brutal on any level. He could do better, because he evicted LXF his 'brother in law' which is a more plausible excuse, to bring in his childhood friend/lover. How is that seen as acceptable? So I can't give him a pass.
What does BLQ want with LXF? He knew he was a contrified simple turnip from day one. He knew all this before taking his virginity. Now he uses his old flame upgrade to kick LXF out because of his snobbish friends who can't even make and deliver soup. I ached for LXF this week. When BLQ told him to aim higher with the financial news he received, I was thinking, yeah aim higher than you, too. Embarrassed by his simple mind but not too embarrassed to ride his simple 🍑. I hope LXF get some ⚾️⚾️ soon, cause there is only so much could be hidden behind naivety.
As much as I love and I do mean love Pond, I sometimes feel that he is not acting in the same drama. His character is stupid, without boundaries, illiterate, careless, prejudiced and abusive. The only thing he has going for him is his great eyesight even while drunk. Yes, he has to bring all of these qualities but I just feel that Pond could dial back a little on the hysterics. He is an accomplished actor and usually lands all of his performances. Here it is a little too over the top for me.
I loved the standoff on the verandah between the two factions. Beautifully debated.
Just like that I went from feeling sorry for honey, to hating honey to liking honey to hating honey again. Just like that an arrogant boy became vulnerable. Just like that a scared boy became brave. Just like that we got one of the best love scenes and ost.
This year China said, "Hold my coat. I'll show you how it's done."
It's okay. There are some good moments. There are some overacted moments. Very small production but good for the money spent. Now that the last ep has been posted, you get to watch in entirety without losing the momentum.
came here to say the same thing. his sweet innocence is making this work.
which i didn’t agree with but LXF is not 100% clueless. Pretending to be still drunk on his wedding night 😆 LXF doesn't realize that everything he does teases BLQ. BLQ didn’t know how much he wanted him until that moment. Still he could have used better judgement.
You have very good points, but if you flip the perspective you can also say that Bei Luqing grooms Lu Xiaofan…
I would agree with you had he not initially shown him kindness without the expectation of anything beyond his contract. Then when his friend openly criticizes his bias for LFX even though he doesn't like people like LFX, he feigns a response that seems passable to everyone but the friend. Given the option to leave, LFX reads between the lines when BLQ offers a plausible reason to stay. Also, BLQ was shocked the first time he cooked. Had he tried in some way to approach him or coerce him it would be different. He has always tried to protect and help him and not use him. The sister, initially protective of her brother, then switches when she sees the bond being formed.
I am not sorry but seriously he is irritating me. I do empathize with the loss he is feeling but he was half dead before and now when I'm supposed to feel sorry for him, I can't. His acting is like a very bad gripe.
While the aunt is rough, she doesn't want him to be clueless and helpless if something happens to her. She is pushing through and she wants him to be independent to not feel completely lost if she is gone. She may be his last relative. Plus if she really hated him, when he was aupposed to get the uniform and didn't, she bought it for him. She is just as scared for his future as much as she is feeling her loss also.
His friend, whom I suspect loved him first, stepped back from since he saw how much he loved the other one. Now that he is in pain, any friend would like to assist. He should have totally ignored him and then he might say the opposite. I understand in his pain, he will see things from a myopic point of view, but come on.
I like that the story is not the same run of the mill generic bl, but at this rate, it needs a few pints of blood.
I am trying to understand Itsuki after his behavior. I treasure his honesty but it had a funny way of popping up at his convenience. Yet, even now, it is still selfish at some point. Yes, their projected views are incompatible, but who goes along just existing? He knows Yuma types are the one to make the changes in the world but is content to live while they fight. I'm not advocating for him to be always on guard, and fight every pos out there but he seems apathetic and wants to be remembered. For existing? Yuma on the other hand still struggling to let go of the ideal.
I agree 100% with all of your review. Admittedly, I categorize bls by countries else I wouldn't enjoy most. My expectations vary.
This how I see it: 90% of China is very strapped for funds. It shows in the overally handling. Then add the voice overs... Knowing that some have to go to foreign countries to be filmed, I am a little more lenient.
Thailand lacks originality or credibility as everyone, according to them, can 'act'. If I don't feel to sleep inbetween, it's a win. Not saying that there aren't good ones, but the script usually falls short. Cyclical or childish.
Korea makes good used of space but unoriginal and limited conversations with little intellect yet somewhere along the line, I still want to see the end.
Japan has the most consistency, money and creativity but can be as dry as crackers.
Taiwan is a flip of a coin.
If I were to judge all at the same level, more than likely I'd go back to European/ Western gay movies which can have a more realistic / painful end than Asian.
