Now that you mentioned it, i also (always) wondered why Sumiko didn't tell Ryu abt Johan being sick immediately…
Exactly. Why was it necessary to marry Ryu? She was a widow. The only benefit would be upon their death, her daughter would automatically inherit everything. Other than that, he could have held the same position in their lives. They lived together before and this only occured during the covid period when they all moved in with his parents. I don’t see the need. Uncle Ryu could have been made an official guardian.
Loved it and didn't at times. Felt like a rollercoaster of pain with minuscule dots of sunshine. I especially didn't like Sumiko waiting an entire year to tell Ryu knowing how much he was hurting. Good friend or selfish? Especially as he was dying, allow him his choice, even if Jo Han requested them not to. Jo Han walking away in tears will live in memory.
Really loved this for the pov's. This was appropriately named.
JackDean felt like, since we can't forget each other, might as well. RomeRaffey felt deserved. ArnoldTua felt teenager trope. BostonNick had more electricity in 2 min than most of the new cast. Old cast inclusion was nice but didn't feel worthy to be added. Side characters: Timmy was a treat and loveable. Pete the pilferer stayed around too long. Gameplay added too late to be effective. Instead of Raffy, he could have been the real threat.
Boston's change destroyed the 'brand' and not credible. He wanted to sleep with Tua, then an impromptu try for a threesome and finally having a conscience. Didn't show what caused the character growth. It just happened.
S2 lacked the panic of S1. Everything felt expected here. S1 thrived on the unknown. At any given moment, chaos could happen. S1 had more mature themes - age appropriate for final year uni students. S2 could fit late teen / year 1 uni students. S1 had random hookups with cp kissing outside of their pairing. S2 stayed within and flattened the expectations.
Whomever did wardrobe should look for another job. Including, who approved it.
Overall, okay but not sizzling like it should and could have.
l was going to write a review, read yours and changed my mind. You captured everything as I wanted. Only addition: BostonNick still held more tension in 2 min than all the new cp. Boston's change destroyed the 'brand' and not credible. He wanted to sleep with Tua, then an impromptu try for a threesome and finally having a conscience. Nope, not having it.
You have major issues around human sexuality. Also, your projections about what's going on in this drama (not…
That's the beauty of mdl. One has freedom to post their pov. What's telling is your need to post your's on someone else's and many other's, too. 🥱 This is a bit tedious and pedestrian. 👋

it's always hilarious and amazing to see the assumptions made when a pov differs from another. 🤣🤣🤣 If the show is not to your taste, then so be it. Please don't ever presume or try to pseudo psychoanalyze another's character off of a pov. It's telling. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If those two who like doing the beatings get to skip off into the sunset without at least getting their own beatings…
Personally, I want the curly haired one to be tied to the train track with a runaway train coming. But only his entire right arm and right leg be severed. He liked to use those alot. The other one should be forced to lick Tae Ju's boots with his actual tongue and put in a jail cell with a sick rapist.
Apologies, if it’s too much for you. Nothing else would satisfy me.
The charm of this series is the equation of the house and their lives. It's not about nc, it's about the emotional sorting and letting go of the things people hold onto as they age. Seeing people as complex humans rather than just good or bad. Seeing perceptions change as they age. Reminding the audience that dreams are ok, whatever the stage or circumstance. Starting over doesn't have an age restriction. Seeing two people who obviously love each other but aren't at the point of a lifelong commitment.
Sometimes watching an emotionally mature series cleanses your palate from all the generic over the top desperate love stories that say nothing with an oversaturation of sweaty heaving breathing that do not advance the plot. Imagine a box of apples created the thread throughout this episode. Compare that to the juvenile writing relying on how soon a character drops his pants. Give me the box of apples or an Old Fashioned Cupcake or I Hear The Sunspot any day.
I still believe there is a second killer. The one who killed the girl in her bed. No stocking.
Why didn’t Gi Wan kill again to take the suspicion off of his brother while he was in jail? Why didn’t Gi Beom speak up to Tae Ju once he knew Sun Yeong was pregnant? Why doesn’t Tae Ju stop knee jerk reacting and actually try to put the clues together?
Finally someone I agree with.. this show is a hot mess... absolute terrible. If I was an actor in this would have…
That's what made S1 interesting. Boston kissed everything with 2 legs. Ray was boldly inserting himself wherever whenever and proposing 3somes, an alcoholic and hurting Sand along the way. Nick played the trauma filled low esteem partner who couldn't let go. They made terrible decisions but they dealt with it realistically as adults in uni. S2 have watered down scenarios that fit teenagers with no serious repercussions. The closest thing to an adult plot would be Jack and Dean and even that didn't have the weight it should.
Different writers and actors unwilling to take chances with their fan base.
No matter the outcome BOC will always stand above with actors willing to grow and take the necessary challenges to do so. In Shine every actor made you sit up and take notice. SonEuro the new it cp. 4 Minutes KornTonklaWin storyline stood out. The closest Gmmtv came to that recently was Burnout Syndrome and look how that fizzled out.
I'm truly disappointed in how it turned out but like I said, I like them and will watch to the end.
IF there is a S3, there should be different concepts but more shock appeal. That was S1 selling point.

Every week I was rooted to see how else Ray and Boston could mess up. That period is to do all the experimenting 😉.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
I normally don't tell anyone to go watch a show as tastes differ, but as of ep 2, I have no regrets watching.
Apologies, if it’s too much for you. Nothing else would satisfy me.
Again, Tae Ju reacting before thinking. Sometimes the line between his actions and the two 'criminal' officers is blurred as they act similarly.
Now, if this murder happened in the same manner, different precinct, while Im Seok is incarcerated, how are they going to explain it away?
Gi Hwan is the most evil person ever. I'm actually repulsed watching him now.
I did have a good laugh with Tae Ju when he found out what Si Yeong's mother did for a living. I think I laughed harder.
This show is wonderful!
