It's not that emotional.
I signed up for a deep psychological bl drama. I got a sly flip-flopping irritating must have a happy ending at all cost bl drama. The beginning caught me. The mystery. Big Jane ominous presence. Little Jane bold but innocent nature.
Somewhere around episodes 6 or 7, it lost me and never picked back up the intrigue. It's not that it didn’t have the ingredients, it's how it came across. Personally, a drama like this should have been less family friendly and darker.
The nc at the end too performative. The voices lacking desire or intensity. The music straight from a 1970's psychedelic trippy film. Try watching the first few minutes of ep 5 of Never Forget Your Enemy and you'll get what I'm getting at. In fact all nc and kisses from that series is an upgrade.
I do like the ending with everything revealed and why but the overall viewing was not that surprising in any way.
I'm taking a break from Thai bl as it has become more grand standing and attractiveness than content and talent. Possibly when more on the level of Mile, Apo, Bible, Ohm, Fourth etc. is available. This is just off the top of my head and not favoritism.
