I really love both of them and the series, but there is something restrained about Yoshizawa that perhaps does not convey attraction, so there is not as much tension as there could have been between them. Still, it is charming,
Do young people in Thailand really live like that, in their own villas with a pool? Where are the parents? Did they buy them such huge villas? What’s going on with Thailand — isn’t it considered a third-world country anymore?
This series is wonderful and genuinely funny, but I think it is primarily intended for a Japanese audience. When I compared the English subtitles with what they actually say, there is a substantial difference. There are jokes that only Japanese viewers understand, such as references to historical Japanese figures and the nicknames the student gives them, which are distorted versions of their names. This can only be understood in Japanese, because the meaning cannot be conveyed in an English sentence. I noticed this as well in the newer episodes;
Still, I really enjoy the dynamics and the cartoonish quality of these exaggerated characters. The acting is excellent.
At first I wondered why people don’t like Japanese series, while I enjoy watching them. The international audience always has criticism and complaints. Then I remembered what I already know: it’s better that they don’t watch them, so they won’t be forced into the boring Western narrative, and they’ll always remain as they are.
Teh is hella fucking dumb for bringing Jimmy back to their house after all the shit he did to his brother......he…
It was weird, it was incredibly stupid, but probably because they were friends and he understood that he was completely broken at a level he had never been broken before… so he felt sorry for him, but still… it was really stupid
I’m just starting to fall in love with this series. Episode 5 was excellent, and the extra segments are really cute. It makes me want to be there right now, eating onigiri. Thanks to the translator irozuku !
Money, money, money.Okay, maybe not *just* about the money, but also that Jira couldn't let go of his feelings…
I don’t think it’s realistic, because there was a year-long break. He was very strong when he cut off the contact, and when he returned to it, it was after a long time had passed. If it had been continuous and dragged on as indecision, it would have been realistic, but since he was able to detach himself from someone he supposedly loves, it doesn’t seem very realistic.
Still, I really enjoy the dynamics and the cartoonish quality of these exaggerated characters. The acting is excellent.
