You are big wrong, it is old enough, Getting old is very dificult in a culture that sanctified youth since you…
It is not true, in fact it's the way around, we are running after immortality and looking younger and younger, it's evolutinery, there is nothing you could do about it, when you are young it's different energy, You are stronger, brighter, and more and more, we will always want to go back to youth as a human species You are just writing from your own world, but not in a wide prespective. but most men will consider 40's and even 30's as old
You are big wrong, it is old enough, Getting old is very dificult in a culture that sanctified youth since you…
You think about yourself, maybe you are one of those who doesn't feel old, but first young men does look on others as really old even if it's only 5 years age gap, Togawa btw always have something so say about Nozue age, he is joking, but its somthing that reflect thruth of the overall culture, for example, when they stand in line to the coffee shop he is saying to him: "Your bones hurt" , it's only one time out of couple of times. You can see clearly The culture itself sanctified youth, not only in Asia but in Japan for example they are surrounded by the idea that young is more beautiful and more worthy, I'm not talking about a job place, but in terms of dating and spirit. and if you read their manga for example, older audience especially gays readers, they are very young in the manga .They have big issue and complex with age , and I'm not even talking about women that is a really big problem.
Thoroughly enjoyable, sophisticated and witty. Yet the constant empathizing of the alleged oldness of a handsome…
You are big wrong, it is old enough, Getting old is very dificult in a culture that sanctified youth since you are born, on top of that the guy wanting to be a girl, that means he want to be young and joyful, when you are old and have responsibilities, live alone, need to take care of yourself, have daily boring life, you feel very lonely , loneliness is a part of being old, you are not like this girl that surrounding friends and so on. and btw men have crisis when they are 40's
It's very nice and different, It remind me a little "Before sunset" in terms of flow, because the dialog between the couple is the main thing here, I know it's not all of it, but it making the series very different from other Jdrama, iwe had this kind of filming in "Pornographer" too, but here its more light. and fun. Both actors looking really good, and have strong chemistry, there is the usuall depth and usual depressed character, for example in "Mr. Unlucky have no choice....." the guy felt total unlucky without nothing to save him expect love. In " Cherry Magic " he was depressed because of his look, and self Estim. A lot of Jdrama and films adress it, especially when its about a work place, they are like mice ,working none stop, . they don't have a life, and the boss could be not that nice, but more demanding then any boss in the wesern world can be. that is why I was very surprise here , The depressed guy is a too kind manager, that doing the work of his workers, maybe it's the part that is on the fantasy side. The solution of the depressin is kind of polish solution, it's always coming from outside, from someone and not from inside like Americans for example , Japanese have more mind set of "others comes first" and not like individuals. when you only care first about yourself , at the same time, the solution off course is not a real solution for his problem of depression, but its fun to watch for us who like romance, and the hope that love make us overcome everything. It is very similar to a movie, "To Each His Own (2017)", about a guy who suffering in his job, and then stranger coming to his life and help him find his joy again, by being free and childish..
I realy hoped it would work, but it's not, it's pretty bad movie, for those who already know the drill, there is nothing special about it , the actors are so so , their good look is not enough, all of it feels like an Hollmark movies with bad jokes in between, there is no chemistry or sparks between the couple, or even wanting for them to be together, and it's too predictable in the worse way it could be, just a generic plot
Ep 3 made me so dissapointed, I didn't expected he had ex girlfriend, I was sure it was Ex boyfriend, and the writer didn't fell in the same old trop, it was so dissapointing for me that I start to feel it's not what I thouth it was, and I should lower my expectations,
Han Ji yoo made me depressed, in S1 KSJ had more impact with his joyful attitude, but HJY can not hold almost full episode without even give us some reason or a clue for his act, he doesn't talk, he doesn't think , he doesn't even have dialogs, but also the enviorment around him not interesting at all, it's not that he is moving from place to place, he is always in the resturant, and his character doesn't belivable at all, because he doesn't put the minimum effort to give service, to find clients, everytime someone coming he is cold to them, and look upset, instead of welcoming , it's not even possible in real life to have that kind of resturant without putting big amount of effert, asspecially when you don't sell alcohol, you are not in Seoul, and not even in the center of the city, it's like a side road of old vilage with small comunnity, his character is a fiction in so many level in that point.
If he is poor and upset about KSJ being rich, why he doesn't proove he can do it without him? he barely moving!
There are a lot of Old Korean movies with that kind of character, but they are real, hard working, suffering, you understand their suffering, about life, money, the biggest issue in SK, there is always lead to some story and complexity of their inner life, but here, I don't feel they even scratching the complexity, because we already know he is a introvert, it's not enough for telling a "Korean" character Story,
For my point of view the writer try too hard in S2, she didn't develope tha same state of mind she had with S1, when she have some pure prespective, without relying on other inspirations that are not even relevant to this story,
That means she know the art of filming, she watch a lot of movies and got the inspiration, while trying to mix the elements in her films, she lost her identity, and the all point of the original story, The story didn't developed well enough, first it's started with Ex girlfriend, instead of Ex Boyfriend, Second, she give us side story of a mother and a kid that doesn't make you feel nothing or relate to them, it's like she start from the middle of something that is not conected to S1 at all,
Ep 3 is painful to watch, the principle is more upseting then ep 2, I wish they found another reason to do the bl instead of forcing them to do it free for her benefit, they are being used too far, and it's not really funny, if it was I would forgive her, On top of her there are the girl fans, that are extremly hard to watch without wanting to pull my hair out .overall 99% of it is extremly annoying , But the main actors are adorable, the second couple are more interesting then the main couple, the only reason to watch , Earth acting better and his character is way more likble then in 2moons,
And adressing the drinking, this is part of their culture, they drink a lot , and because it's a comedy, they doesn't give more serious asspect to it, people really lost their sence of humor, and they doesn't understand Koreans, It is not the "right" thing to do, for sure, but it's part of the society they are living in, first it is very cold in the winter, so probably it's started from this, then in Asia Alchohol is cheap and readily accessible 24/7everywhere near you no limitataion, so cheap they doesn't care about drinking so much, they are also very close people, quiet , so drinking helps them to open up to each other faster, they have a lot of work and stress, a lot of stress due money, even in the movie they talk about salary with the boss, after work they sittting with the co workers and boss and drink, other times they drink with frineds, so here you go the full reason for it. Offcourse that there are more reasons, but those are the noticable ones.
I love Gong Hyo Jin so much, she never make me dissapointed with her choices, if the choice is bad it's only because of the producer or the writer, never her, and this time the movie was good from the first moment until the end, very cute, I really like Kim Rae Won too, although I didn't watch him for years, he is really a good actor, I feel that it's a "Real" Korean romance movie, unlike most of the new ones, even the trailer point it out, I am sure that those who didn't like it like Netflix productions more, as they are adjust themself to be real American, but no Korean to be found there except the actors.ok, and the language
