I noticed that TTJ almost always had something in his hands to fiddle with when talking to someone else. Top of…
I think its to express his state of mind. Especially for the two example you gave, he may try to play it off as uncaring, but what happened did affect him. At the abandoned cabin, he was waving the stick. Initially, he scraped it across his neck. I interpret that as he was highly distressed and showed signs of wanting to end his life. He stopped that motion when LXW said she would lock him up and she would be there to supervise. It sounded hash, but for TTJ, it was enough to feel that someone cared enough not to abandon him.
The camp incident. I felt he was emotionally overwhelmed. He had failed to prevent the incident with his mothers ashes, and he killed his nanny. The only light in his life, LXW, had literally betrayed him from his POV. He was using the little flag to ground himself. He kept pushing and testing LXW, by deliberately describing things that would upset her. At the height of his speech, he flung the flag away, to express his heightened emotions.
I think that is why Leo is such a good actor. He includes a lot of microexpressions and uses items within the environment to express how his character feels.
If you watch the BTS, Leo have a tendency to play with BL's hair. At times its to connect and be playful. Other times, it's to self soothe. For example, the grave scene in Episode 40, he used magic to bring up LXW, I felt he was playing with her plait to self soothe, because the scene was emotionally charged. To the point where BL too had trouble keeping calm and Leo requested she film her section first. Hmm so Leo may have incorporated some of his own traits into TTJ.
I can't believe some people defend YBC's actions and even compares her with TTJ 😳
I question their ability to assess moral right and wrong.
YBC literally had no remorse, coming from a person who can feel emotions. Whereas TTJ knew better than her, even though he supposedly have no emotions to guide him.
...I wonder what NBY is thinking as he sends YXW away. Is he sympathizing with YXW, or TTJ? (Well, maybe because…
I agree. It felt like TTJ was testing to see if someone else can replace YXW, if she did the same things for him. I don't blame him for trying, especially when he is confused by love. I appreciate how he did draw boundaries with B. It's interesting how TTJ looked a bit unhinged in certain scenes with B. Overall, YXW helps TTJ feel grounded. That is, when they are not having misunderstanding.
So im really curious... Why did LSS look ^sad^ when she was the one who wanted to spend the night with TTJ/Devil…
This is based on my own interpretation from the drama.
LSS initiated the wedding night, because she wants to be close to TTJ, since she still loves him. I think LSS was sad because she was aware death is imminent . She was grieving for how TTJ and her relationship could have been, and what would happen the next day.
Overall, I don't think she had doubts about spending the night with TTJ. She knew what she was getting herself into. But she couldn't help but feel sad for how eveything turned out.
She probably at that time, have decided to save the three realms, she would have to kill TTJ, and ending her life too
The more I rewatch, the more I feel Leo's gentle nature is expressed in TTJ's behaviour towards LXW.
The whole festival is a visual master piece.
