I always wandered NBY's perspective of TTJ and YXW's relationship. Especially in the later episodes when things go down hill.

I absolutely love PR's interaction with TTJ and YXW. They seem to have so much fun and mutual respect for each other.

It's fun to watch how YXW tries different ways to increase TTJ 's affection for her.
Although she says its all because of the misssion, i feel like she have mostly let her guard down and genuinely enjoy spending time with TTJ.

I felt that the cheek kiss was genuine and sincere. LSS was so happy to see her family, she genuinely wanted to kiss TTJ for his thoughtfulness. On the other hand, the cooking may not be 100% sincere.

I tried to rewatch on Youtube. I think i got too attached to the background music, and was disappointed when it had to be removed for copy right reasons.

The singers are amazing. I appreciated the background information on why she decided to accept and sing the song.

I think alot of people with abandonment issues found it difficult to understand LSS. Her character was too triggering for them.
Just like TTJ 's response, when he felt LSS was going to leave him or betrayed him, he lost rationale and became reactive.

Another point is, LSS's behaviours may seem unpredictable if the veiwers cannot understand her rationales, and are only focused on what she says during really emotional charged moments with TTJ. The viewer may not connect the dots to vital information.

The last point is some viewer's may value being loved and cared over the act of selfless sacrifice for the greater good. So these veiwers would not be able to understand from LSS point of view.

I, like you never doubt LSS love for TTJ. She truly loves him more than her own life. Except, she can't put his life before the lives of the three realms.

Regarding the lack of verbal acknowledgement. LSS may have family love, but I doubt she understood much about romantic love. Her love language seems to be acts of service. That was how she showed her affection. Also, I don't think she realised how much she loved TTJ for most of the drama.

Another key point is the actor. Luo Yunxi really made TTJ a unforgettable character.

This is my interpretation only.

TTJ at that stage had little emotional connection with others. His motivation to become King was based on the need to survive.
To reduce the likelihood of TTJ becoming the Demon God 2 at the beginning of the drama, and so TTJ won't continue the path of destruction, MY knew TTJ need to have emotional connection with others and the world. By experiencing MY's life, TTJ was able to feel what it's like to be loved, hated, and admired. What it's like for him to love, to have friends, and hold the responsibility of the three realms safety.
This helped TTJ realised, the world isn't full of negatives. The world can also be positive if he makes the right choices.
TTJ, too, can experience what it's like to be loved, to love, and to have friends.
MY also role modeled how to be a respectable person and sacrifices.
LSS helped TTJ to continue to build the emotional connection to others and the world.
She helped him realise the importance of considering other peoples needs. The final part is when he joined the sect, his master helped him understand family love.

So as the drama continues, you will see TTJ intial motivation and behaviour was based on survival, This shifts when he falls in love with LSS and being obsessed with only her, because she was his only emotional connection to the world, then this was further widen to him having connection with family (his sect), the people around him, to the safety of the three realms. Note, by the last part of the drama, TTJ was no longer single minded, he did not hesitate to save peope in need.

I agree. MY had no life experience outside of his role. He had solely dedicated his life to fighting evil.

I feel for SJ and MY. They are both very naive in their own ways. They both mean well, but external factors kept pulling them apart.

What i appreciate is MY doesn't deny how he may SJ suffer. He tried very hard to resolve the issues, except it's too late.

In some ways, MY and LSS bare the same responsibilities and difficulties. For the greater good, they had to put their love ones second. But its important to recognize, they still prioritize their love ones life before their own.
