Well stated! Having watched both the 1999 and 2008 versions, I know where you are coming from. I put off the 2015, but will revisit in 2022 for the Thai Watch Challenge. I have to say though, that whenever I watch a Pong lakorn, he usually comes across the way you described here, lol! AND, I now start a Pong-Is-Shirtless-Again tally because he seems like Captain Kirk in the original Star Trek where almost every episode there's a ruse to get him shirtless! lol Thanks for writing this, Soju!! BTW, did you know that soju comes in Strawberry and Green Grape flavors? I discovered that this past summer. It is DELICIOUS!!! Only wish I could have stuffed more in my suitcase!!!

I love Por, but this wasn't my favorite. I had to put it on hold because the FL was driving me to distraction before I could finish it. I really wanted to shoot her myself at one point. I think the director and screenwriter took it off track in later episodes and it didn't finish as well as I would have liked. But, Por and Namfon gave them what they wanted. I wish all of Por's lakorns were English subbed. Watching him is so bittersweet. And Namfon was so young in this one. They both grew in their acting skills. Well, one thing to clarify, the episodes I watched had been edited, so I'm thinking there may have been scenes cut that would have clarified some things. But, I appreciate the subber working with what they had to make this one available so many years ago.
My first time to watch Hawick. Every time there was a close up of him, my brain just said "He's so pretty." Note to self: watch more Hawick.... LOL I'm not a fan of Zheng Shuang. Especially after her baby scandal. I wish she had had a better hairstyle for this drama because every time I saw her, I wanted to pull some hair down over her forehead. I wish the ending had been a bit better. Won't spoil here. I loved the opening song. It's still playing in my head. I really thought this drama had more layers than some give it credit for. But, I can certainly understand the frustration about the fl's character and I would have liked some things explained better. I'm a sucker for revenge to redemption to forgiveness stories. Overall, I liked it quite well.

I'm not a fan of Zheng Shuang. Especially after her baby scandal. I wish she had had a better hairstyle for this drama because every time I saw her, I wanted to pull some hair down over her forehead.
I wish the ending had been a bit better. Won't spoil here.
