I just started watching the first few episodes and I’m actually enjoying everything from the cast, plot and production. Anyway, just needed some clarifications, in the fifth episode, Yu Zhi and Tang Chun seems to be already acquainted with each other but I haven’t seen nor heard any mention in the earlier episodes how they ended up knowing each other. Just a bit confused. And lastly, Chu Ran seems nice but I just hope this character doesn’t come in between Yue Lou and Yu Zhi and ruin the bromance. It’s just that when it comes to this type of Chinese dramas I have a preconceived notion that such female characters are only made or written to pass the censorship and then they often get killed in the ending! But so far I’m entertained, we’ll see in the later episodes how the excitement holds!
Despite the censorship, I feel like China produced bromance and censored adaptations still managed to entertain…
It started really well, it was sort of intriguing and the bromance was really hilarious, at least till the ninth episode, after that it felt like I was watching a completely different drama plagued with laughable and nonsensical bs and decisions!
Hard work always pays off! Do good, be grateful knowing that no setback, difficulty nor disability is a hindrance towards achieving something great! Such a beautiful, uplifting and inspiring film! I was sobbing, cheering and crying the entire time. If you’re someone who’s feeling down and dispirited right now or someone who’s lacking motivation then this film is a must watch for you!
Despite the censorship, I feel like China produced bromance and censored adaptations still managed to entertain because of the undeniable chemistry between the two male characters but arghhh it’s really kinda annoying when there’s a female character coming in between and ruining a very good bromance! Xianxia and wuxia themed series are amazing as it is but imagine if these dramas are freed from the clutches of censorship, for sure China’s BL will leap far and beyond!
Was supposed to start watching this when all the episodes are completed but can’t contain my rotten soul after watching last week’s episode highlights! PS I keep shipping the guy with the eyeglasses and the blond one even though they haven’t got any interaction other than being Kiyoi’s bully friends haha
This wuxia is indeed beautiful, daring and interesting from start to finish and I might say a tad improvement from previous China produced censored adaptations! Dang who needs scenes with passionate kisses when you can have those sweet gazes and cheeky, at times almost flirty, exchange of dialogues between Zi Shu and Ke Xing! And the story between Wei Ning and Ah Xiang left me in pieces! Definitely a must watch for die hard BL fans <3
I remembered reading the manga months ago and was so entertained! Same feeling I have right now coz this is so incredibly much like the manga and they totally nailed the characters (and Aoki’s inner sweater)! Really good adaptation so far with just some few differences (eg Mametarou grabbing Aoki’s pants on his first visit to Ida’s house and the ski mountain resort trip instead of the forest mountain camping)!
Oh geez that was wonderfully entertaining! I hope they consider making a spin-off series with Ou Wen and Mark as the leads. They were really great together and their story has a lot of heart!
