this cast (from the leads to the extras) deserved better than this hot mess, we deserved better. the script is all over the place, investigations randomly mixed up with basic romcom tropes with a sprinkle of second hand embarassment commedy (the lowest point is the shop war) and some wish fulfillment scenes. to think that the first episode is brilliant. what a missed opportunity. if you're Luo Yunxi's or Cheng Lei's fan don't watch it, just look for some videos.

i heard this too but everyone says it's just a rumor. it's impossible to make historical dramas within just 12 epsodes anyway so i don't think it's true as far as historical dramas are concerned. if someone knows more let us know please
