Finally saw the finale. I understand the comments a lot better. It is confusing and too much dream and real for…
you know what (i'm among those that believe they're alive at least untill the meeting on the hill. i also thing the marriage is symbolic and not real, like their sould getting entwined for eternity and that's why we hear the voices of dead and living people) i feel the ending was too rushed. at some point they needed to close all the stories and was no time left (maybe the initial project was for a longer series but they couldn't make if for various reasons?). the meaning of the story is in the final screen. it's Zelia's j'accuse against the hypocrisy of a patriarcal and homophobic society
Wait, why is daddy in jail, did I miss something?! Did Qinglang really just do that speech?! 👀👀👀 Honesty,…
what yuhao does is explained by QL with the moths story. honestly i'm no longer mad at him (i'm not calling him a rat for this reasons ahaha) he got burned and lost his soul, when he realizes this he also knows there's not coming back for him because he's lost the meaning of being alive.
I'm actually worried about Liu Jing Yu and Kuma. This wasn't a usual BL. They spent months connecting deeply and…
i've been following them on weibo and i think they're very grounded and independent people. they'll follow the path they've chosen (there's a smearing campaign against Liu JingYu at the moment, but i'm confident they'll prevail)
WTH...I am still recovering from Sis Lan's demise n now Tian too? Is the writer a friend of GOT author? Offing…
at least she's not doing it for shock value like the screen writers in GOT (Martin is doing it with a purpose...was doing it he's writing nothing at the moment...old useless thing)
What.a.wonderful.drama.I'm speechless, it was one of the best drama I've ever watched. So so beautiful and deep.…
i can't manage to write a reviwe yet. i'm keeping having flash of the last episode but i can't collect my thoughts (in any language including my own ahahah)
Ep2, i think shi yuhao came into qing lang's life like a lesson. That relationship taught Qing Lang what happens…
Shi yuhao (i'm forgiving him, he's not longer the rat) also represent the moths in QL's final story. those who are attracted by the fire (fame no matter what, Shi yuhao leaks is own sex tape to be popular again at some point) get burned but keep coming back to the same fire in the end they have no soul left, only those who step back can find their soul again. Hao Hao realizes this, but he's left with no soul or pupularity and takes his own life (publicly. terrible and beautiful at the same time his ending. he dies in the same way he lived, under the public eye and in death he trends again. a punch in the guts right?)
Episode 16 makes it hard to read any other way. Director Zelia appears as Director Li, the director we never see…
if anyone had doubts about the nature of this artwork now what Zelia meant with her story is black on white. a j'accuse against the homophobic, patriarcal society
Zelia, you beauty… what a world you created.Artistically, this was something extraordinary. The production,…
beautiful post, thank you for sharing it. i keep reading your paragraph about what made this drama art and i agree on every single word. this drama is hetched in my sould exactly because of all the elements you described (but i'll do a reawatch. i think this play is so layered that you need to watch it several times to understand it in full)
Thank you for your post. I feel the same way. Zelia not only created a masterpiece but also inspired this beautiful…
this project was not meant to attract big, miscellaneous crowds from the start. it's just normal that the numbers stay low. which is what made us into a small community but sadly is not going to make this drama as popular as it should be (considering the amount of pointless criticism the actors are gettingi it's not a bad thing either)
(here's the calendar)
how are you doing in your first day after this show, lovely folks?
