MY FAVOURITE ACTRESS + FASCINATING INSIGHTS INTO WILDLY DIFFERENT JUDICIAL SYSTEM
I watched because Elvira Cai has a starring role. Unlike most other Asian dramas, the stories were logical & believable & coherent. There were so many (mostly Civil) court cases shared that quite a few were really engrossing. Learned a lot about a workaday Legal System in China that surprised me, particularly in a country were basic rights & freedoms are so controlled & circumscribed by the CCP. Even the propoganda aspects provide insight into present day China. I've been so disappointed by so many rubbish series lately, starring brilliant Chinese & Korean actors, that this was a lovely respite to not have to turn my mind off to get thru a series. So, compelling stories, many insights (if you Google "Am I really seeing what I'm seeing") and fine acting by all.
