i liked the drama until they lowkey kinda high key being racist and stereotyping Africa like do your freaking…
It made me mad too and spoiled the drama. They also mentioned it numerous times and also made it seem like Africa is a country. It's a continent for God's sake! Which country was he volunteering in? That was never mentioned. Completely unnecessary to mention it in the drama and added nothing. Also thought that it was racial discrimination.
This drama started out great and had potential but then fell short along the way.
There are two second lead couples who share almost the same screen time with the leads which detracted from the main story. Also multiple references to viruses in Africa is ill informed and racial discrimination. Firstly, Africa is a continent not a country and it is melting pot of different cultures, ethnicities and languages. You can't group all the countries as one. It would be tolerable if there was only one reference to viruses in Africa but it was mentioned at least 3 times. In addition, the female lead also researched the viruses in Africa to keep the male lead "safe" when he visits the continent. It was completely unnecessary plot device not to mention that it was racist. Overall, watch this drama if you don't have other good dramas on your list and don't want to think too much while watching.
I want to ask if this drama1. Happy ending?2. Can be considered heavy with lots of conflicts or just easy to watch…
1. It has a happy ending but not a fully stretched out happy ending. I still appreciated it ended well and was not a waste of my time. 2. I didn't consider it too heavy, and it didn't have needless plot twists. The story primarily focuses on the main leads. There is angst though, so be ready for the waterworks towards the end of the drama.
Same here, i still can't move on. When i first finished alp, i went back and rewatch everything again. I still…
I guess I'll be doing the same in the coming days. The comment section has been a balm so far. I'm a bit reluctant to re-watch the full heart wrenching drama.
So hard to move on from this drama. Before going into it, I saw some mixed reviews so my expectations weren't that high and now I'm sitting here wondering how I'll move on from this drama. Do I have to keep re-watching and breaking the repeat button on the OSTs?
