I loved it all in all. But I can't help but feel like the fl got away with being a bad partner. The ML litterally…
That's exactly it. Everyone responds differently to situations. I agree that the FL had a vast shift in character after she started to develop feelings but I think that was because in the beginning, she was just trying to seduce him with one liners, pick up lines and by reading romance novels. Her true self was in fact when she was shy to initiate or respond to physical touch and started to develop feelings for him. The plot and writing should have handled that change much better than they did so viewers won't get whiplash. Also, the FL was too gullible believing and following everything that her best friend told her. She was certainly not a FL without flaws.

That's true, he was ready to forgive her before she even asked for forgiveness. From our POV, we see her struggle with missing him and not knowing how to make amends. She's also more prideful and refused to believe how much she loved him until it was too late. Her cluelessness, pride and the guilt she feels somehow adds more colour to it? When she later continues to feel guilty, the ML reassures her it's in the past and he's put it behind him and so should she. That was all the closure I personally needed.
I am so glad I decided to make up my own mind about this drama. The chemistry, back and forth and tension between the main leads was 🔥 I mostly watched Bai Lu and Dylan's scenes but they carried me through the entire drama. As the username below mentioned, there are a lot of poor dramas out there with little to no plot, acting or just make it really difficult to withstand from ep1 . Did the FL always make smart decisions? No. Was she independent, smart and headstrong? Yes. The characters had their personalities and their moments which made this drama relatable and easy to watch. If you're a fan of rom com, like some slow burn romance and the CEO trope, you won't be disappointed in the slightest. I know I wasn't.
Dropped this one at episode 3. While the story had promise, the ML's acting was too wooden and stiff and the secondary couple were also uninteresting. The subs which referred to "ya" instead of "you" also started to annoy me after a while.
Love the why this, why that lol, am up to episode 9 and noticing these things are annoying especially the blood…
You do have to turn off your logic and common sense while watching and just focus on the emotions of this drama. Don't try to analyse the scenes too much or you'll give up watching halfway 😅ðŸ«
This drama was a nice surprise and managed to keep me engaged until the end. I think it's because it acknowledges the scars of the main leads. The FL's fear of abandonment, of defying her parents, and being afraid to live her life fully. The ML's fear of being abandoned, not being loved and not wanting to get hurt again. Even if you didn't agree with the choices of the leads, you could see why they were too afraid to love and open their hearts. The mum played a pivotal role in making the FL eventually stronger and realise she had to fight for her love.
However, this drama was not without its flaws and plot holes. You will find the drama treats you like a dumb viewer without any common sense. Here are some examples: Since when did doctors accompany nurses in an ambulance even for rescue missions? What happened to the paramedics who are the first responders in a health emergency? Why is the doctor always doing CPR while the nurses sit and watch? Why are they not wearing eye goggles during surgery and have blood splash in their eyes? Also, how does a hospital let so many doctors off duty to participate in emergency training with the fire service for weeks? Isn't the hospital short staffed while half the doctors and nurses are away? Also why is the fire service so lacking in equipment and keep moving trees and other obstacles by hand? There are many more such examples which were jarring and took you out of the drama. Overall, it was an entertaining watch but not without some sloppy direction and writing
What an absurd claim. Watched both dramas and didn't notice a lick of similarity. There would be numerous plagiarism claims due to the number of dramas that are about a city girl who goes to country town to find peace and falls in love. SMH.
Hahahaha!! Different from you, it was the FL business that failed to capture my attention. But, I do agree that…
You explained it perfectly, the romance was developed poorly due to the script and I couldn't care less what happened to the leads. Agree that the FL's business management felt forced and an unnecessary addition that didn't progress the drama. That's why I thought there was no conflict or plot development and it fell very flat.
I almost never start dramas that are airing because I'm a serial binge watcher and have no patience. BUT all the spoilers floating around, green flag FL and their incredible chemistry is making me want to break my rule.
This drama just blew me away. If you're hesitating because the high rating seems hard to believe or haven't had much luck finishing cdramas, give this a try! This drama was a perfect portrayal of the struggles of youth, self-image/esteem, friendships, career choices, life choices and of course the romance! All 5 friends had their roles to play and were very well developed characters with their own struggles. What I liked about this drama is that you could relate to each of the characters in their own way. The camcorder recorded outros capturing snippets of SZZ's life and the quotes were truly beautiful. The relationship between Grandma and Guan Fuang brought tears to my eyes.
The best part was the wholesome, icing on cake happy ending which had everything you'd want from a happy ending tied neatly in a bow. The ML's perspective in the end was incredibly satisfying because it showed how much the FL meant to him and how she had changed his life for the better.
The only con of this drama is that it will leave you feeling very single.
Is this like actually good or is it like all the 9+ rated cdramas that disapointed me ?
A must watch and after I finished I realised the rating was not overhyped. Well developed characters, no unnecessary plot lines or misunderstandings, and slice of life youth romance.
I am baffled at how you think they lack chemistry in all the shows I’ve seen I think they have had great chemistry…
To each their own. For me, there wasn't enough engaging interactions between the couple for a proper development of a relationship . They may be dating irl but that doesn't translate to chemistry on set. It could have been the poor plot development that made it a snooze fest. Couples don't have to be intimate for there to be chemistry (sometimes it's evident by the way they look at each other). Here there wasn't enough to keep me invested in the CP. We all have our different tastes and it's ok to disagree with each other.
