I was glad this is on Viki now. I also realized I wasn't missing anything. Especially episode 2...I guess it's ok to have romantic feelings towards animals now??? Seriously, wtf was episode 2? Insane.
Looking back at this after some time, I tried to keep an open mind about the FL, but I just don't like that character. I liked every other character including all of the antagonists and comedic side characters. I wanted to fast forward every time she was on screen. I actually love action and romance, but this would have been better with no romance between the ML and FL. I think the FL character was poorly written and any actress who took on that role was set up for failure regardless.
You can't apply any sort of logic to the story at all. It won't work because it doesn't make any sense. This doesn't even qualify as "it's so bad that it's good and fun to watch" (which I love). It's kind of boring honestly which I wasn't expecting at all, but I don't think it was the actor's fault. If you want to watch, turn off your brain and enjoy looking at the attractive actors.
@Jalapenosprinkle You know Baby Face Nelson was young and smooth faced yet one of the deadliest and mos powerful…
Ok I just finished this. Enjoyed it the whole way through.
Also....what? What is happening with this comment? Are you replying to the correct person? Asian hate? Not white enough? I'm extremely confused because I literally didn't say any of that. When did I say Kamol isn't white enough? I do have criticism of this series (as well as positive aspects...just like every other series/movie) and it's mostly centered around the production. Like seriously, who said Kamol isn't white enough? Because I agree that person would be considered racist. Listen, you don't know anything about me at all. Not my age, life experiences, world view....nothing. If you did, you'd know how utterly ludicrous this comment is. I also don't know anything about you, but I genuinely hope you're ok.

I agree there are many looks. Yes, I did know that about Baby Face. I'm glad you pointed that out. His appearance was an anomaly which is why he was given that nickname. That further proves my point. Thanks. Although I'm not going to lie, the idea of the majority of mafia men looking adorable like Kamol is amusing. But there is nothing intimidating about his appearance in the least. I'll continue to enjoy it I'm sure. So far so good.
I have NOT seen KinnPorsche and I am having a hard time seeing Kamol as a mafia boss that's supposed to strike some sort of fear. It seems like that character was miscast and no amount of ominous music is changing that. The actor just looks very young and adorable even though he isn't that young (which is great for him...he'll age wonderfully as he gets even older). I'm watching episode 4 and it's definitely bad so far (not the worst I've seen). However, it's like it's so bad that it's good and I like those kinds of dramas too. I think it's fun to watch, amusing, and entertaining. I'm enjoying it.
Agreed. Thank goodness for HiTV - although having to only watch on a device via the app is a pain
You can watch Disney+ dramas on there? Omg thank you! I'm so glad I saw your comment! If that means I can watch Ji Changwook in an action and Wi Hajoon as a villain, then I don't care if I'm stuck watching on a tablet or phone.
This was not good. Not the worst I've seen, but it's pretty bad. It's short so it was bearable. Also, I could have done without the violence. I'm not against violence shown in dramas (action is my favorite genre), but it was so out of place here. It was odd and unnecessary.
I honestly had to turn off my brain to enjoy this. The troupes were awful. Female lead is the type of girls I…
Honestly, same. Except I didn't really enjoy this at all. I get the nostalgia factor for a lot of people, but this was tough to get through for me. Which is kind of surprising because I actually like some overused tropes or when dramas are so terrible they're good and make me laugh. This was just frustration and cringe. Both the ML and FL characters are awful, but not the good kind of awful.
I've seen the original (plus the sequels) and this one. Honestly, neither are masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination. However, both are still entertaining enough. Pop some popcorn, suspend disbelief, grab a couple friends, and have fun watching one time.
This was just ok. Kind of low budget for a Kdrama, but that wasn't a real problem. The acting was ok I guess. Not great. Not bad. The problem is it was so boring. The food monologues served as a device to show character development and summarize the life lessons in each episode. However, they were too long and also boring. There's no chemistry in the love triangle at all, and I didn't care who she picked or if she remained single. I only watched this to see more of Song Wonseok and although I accomplished that, I would only recommend this as a cure for insomnia.
