Loved the first season. Not sure why another season is needed outside of being a money grab. I'll watch if Wi Hajoon returns, if not then I don't think I could make it through another season with the ML. That character was unbearable for me after the first few episodes.
So it's really a rehash of the movie events? Disappointing . . .https://entertainment.inquirer.net/444057/gameboys-season-2-bl-series-more-romantic-and-intimate
It says in that article that the ending will be different. I saw the movie so I'll come back at the end of this season to see what everyone is saying and decide if it's worth a watch. Thanks for this article.
I watched this on Viki where it has 10 episodes total. I watched episodes 1-9 and did not watch episode 10. I'm happy with this choice. Loved the main couple. This drama is the perfect example of why I started researching dramas before I start watching them. Sometimes spoilers are helpful and I'm grateful for everyone warning not to watch episode 10 (or episode 19 and 20 if it's the version with 20 episodes). I will not watch any other work by this writer.
Ok so after watching this with heavy use of the fast forward button, the comments about it are legitimately better than the drama itself. If you're like me and were only curious to see Mark and Kit, don't bother. Seriously, it's not worth it. Jack and Koh were the only ones that were somewhat tolerable. God help us if there's a season 3, but I don't think we have to worry about that.
People in love are always codependent. Art/cinema aren't there to promote relationships but show a perspective.…
I'm not going to waste time reading that. It's clear you're obsessed with this drama based on your previous comments. Unless you worked on it as cast/crew or provided a monetary investment, this attachment is bizarre. I'll just say enjoy it (I did), move on to the next one to enjoy (like I am), and have a nice day (like I will continue to do). You won't get any additional responses from me.
If you want to know if it's a happy ending, see my comment below marked as a spoiler.
This was an interesting watch. It screams codependency which isn't healthy, but healthy relationships usually aren't promoted anyway so I wasn't surprised. I still enjoyed it. Kyosama (played by Akira Takano) was my favorite character, but all of the actors did a great job expressing the emotions of the characters.
Ok this drama is just not good for a lot of reasons. However, I still give it an 8/10 and that's based solely on the writers.
The only reason it's getting such a high rating is because of the writer's perspective on love and how they showcased that through JM as a character. JM's portion of the dialogue about what love is...it's by far the most realistic, grounded, authentic, and mature perspective of love I've seen in entertainment media in a long time. And then the writer's contrasted that perfectly with Reb's character which represents the romanticized version of love most of us are used to. Both JM and Reb needed a wakeup call to understand the error in their ways and they both got it. Excellent dialogue about love from JM.
Again, the writers were really great in that particular area, but this drama overall is not good.
Do yourself a favor and skip all scenes with Farm/Dr. Bright. Feel free to skip all of the side couples, but at…
What was done to Farm was horrible from start to finish. His soon to be ex-girlfriend took advantage of him constantly, his "friends" forced alcohol on him knowing he's meek, his "friends" drugged him, his ex-girlfriend drugged him, his ex-girlfriend sexually assaulted him, Dr. Bright totally disrespected him, and then finally he was raped in an orgy by Dr. Bright and 2 other men he didn't know. After all of that abuse, Farm turns into the same monster that Dr. Bright is at the end. Atrocious and tragic. Farm had no real friends or support system and they didn't even bother to ask about why he was crying after being gang-raped on his birthday.
That bothered me the most. Other than that, when all of the events are really broken down...none of the couple should be together at the end. Yes including Korn and Knock. Everyone should be single or with other people, but they still end up together. Also, Dr. Bright and Pleng should be in jail. Don't watch if you don't like to watch infidelity take place. There's tons of that. There's no ridiculous break up between the main couple which I liked. But the only reason they don't break up is because they don't get together until the last episode, but still kiss and have sex with each other throughout the rest of the episodes before that.
With all of that being said, I still enjoyed this drama. I can't deny that Max and Tul work really well together. Their hype is not exaggerated. So it's no surprise that they worked well together as Korn and Knock.

This is probably the first series in which I TOTALLY skipped almost each and every scene of a side-couple: for…
I agree with all of this. Everything said here is true. I didn't skip Bright/Farm and wish I had read this beforehand. Horrible. I also watched this after Manner of Death and yes....the hype is not exaggerated. The title of Kings is well deserved.
I wanted to watch something light after a crime drama I just finished and picked this. All I can say is that this is so cheesy and bad that I'm pretty sure my brain is melting LOL. That being said, it's a drama that is so bad that it's good because it makes me laugh a lot. So, I'm enjoying it and will continue to watch.
Edit: Finished this. The best thing about this drama is the chemistry between the main couple. It's obvious they're very comfortable with each other and their interactions are very natural. Other than that, everything else is still the same. I would still recommend this if you want to watch a couple with great chemistry and to laugh at how bad this drama really is. I enjoyed it.
