If you watch the ratings the fluffy happy BLs will always rate higher than the darker ones that have morally gray characters in them. The BL audience seems to prefer happy, light romances. And they are particularly negative towards cheating etc. which was present in season 1.

The ratings will always go down after the series has ended. Same happened with season 1. It was consistently 8.3 during the airing of the series but dropped after it ended. Many people will wait until the series is finished to rate it. This is actually true about almost every series.

This series proves again that First and Khaotung are such versatile actors! They can pull off any genre and do so masterfully! I will always admire them for constantly challenging themselves and developing their skills.

What could be more serious than the death of a mother, immense guilt because of it, finding your own way in life, experiencing first relationship, navigating that relationship in spite of different characters etc. If anything, I would like them to have a genuinely light series for once but alas, the next one looks quite intense. I want these actors to have as versatile roles as possible and stop them from getting typecasted.

Grief and resentment can make you do the most childish and ridiculous things. Having witnessed many readings of the will I can assure you that grown up people can act so childishly you would never believe.

Well said! What bothers me in these comment sections (not only here, but here are some really loud examples) are fans of the series and the couple who try to convince every critical comment writer that what they’re writing is wrong because A, B or C. You can’t explain someone else what they’re supposed to feel and think about a series. It’s ludicrous to think so. And it really kills the conversation, which is the aim of those people.

These comment sections have become so sanitised that they lack all the interesting discussions there used to be. I hate trolling and nasty, provoking comments, but I miss the discussions this forum had just a few years ago.

You write so beautifully and I agree about everything. I think the problem with a series like this is the fact that some people want something loud and extreme, otherwise they are not entertained. This series requires you to really think deep, reflect and re-evaluate the choices you’ve made in your life.

So many things hit close home to me: living up to your parents’ expectations, loosing a parent when you could’ve still needed them in your life, finding your self worth and changing your perspective of life because of the things you’ve been through. It’s not easy to confront the emotions these things awake in you. But it is in the end so rewarding and absolutely necessary in order to go on in your life.

The way the behavioral patterns of cats and humans are being parallelled is wonderful and amazes me every episode. This is a small gem that makes me happy each week and I’m glad they made this. This series has a lot of heart and I can feel it through the screen.

I actually disagree with this. I love that the cats are voiced by voice actors and it shows in the quality of their dialogues and the ways their lines are delivered. Voice acting is not something you can do just like that and it would be a real slap in the face of the profession if this series gave the impression that anyone can do it.

The director said that the only difficulty when shooting the series was for First and Khao to not have chemistry with each other as they are not supposed to in the beginning of the series. So what you are feeling is what they aimed at.

I know! He’s not indifferent to the cats at all! I love how this show is revealing his love for the cats gradually.

In the USA it’s in Gagaoolala. The first few episodes are there for free, but you usually have to pay for the whole series. Or use a VPN and watch it on YouTube.

That’s just the thing: there is no cat-part and other part. The story ties the lives of cats very cleverly into the lives of Tiger, Lynx and others and does it really well in my opinion. Tiger tries to earn the trust and love of Lynx through the cats, who knew Lynx’s mother and can guide him. The cats play an integral part in the story and you could say they are the main characters in a way. I’m not an adamant cat lover, but I enjoy the story telling a lot. It is well thought and makes sense.

There was a discussion on X and TikTok that the cats are voiced by LYKN. I don’t know if it’s true but that would be awsome! Someone recognised the voices of Lego and Hong at least.

I think this was my problem with the series as well. I just didn’t care about the characters and what happens to them. The ending was lovely though and it made the relationship believable and real.This is not to say the series was bad at all - Jimmy and Sea acted well and the story flowed okayish. However I was not able to feel anything for the characters for some reason. I think it is a series that’s nice to watch but easy to forget.

Why is it bothering you so much if someone’s dropping the series? You see these announcements on every series’ discussion page. It tells that that particular viewer was not impressed by the series and they didn’t want to continue watching it. It could bear relevance to some people. Everyone is allowed to express their opinion of the series.

That was the whole idea of their relationship and First and Khaotung portray that so perfectly! Thier relationship is based on Kant’s guilt from the beginning as he knows he is deceiving Bison and at the same time he starts to have feelings for him little by little. It is the complete opposite with Style and Fadel as Style doesn’t know he is dating a killer until Kant tells him. It was so refreshing to me that the dynamics were completely different between the pairs. It is natural that the more traditional dynamic feels somehow better but I found it interesting that they Kant and Bison has this “I can’t like him, I actually am afraid of him, if he finds out he’s gonna kill me” -dynamic in the beginning. It made you feel uncomfortable as it was supposed to and made their ending so much more rewarding.

Agree! Love Jimmy and Sea but the story is average to be honest. I was quite shocked to see the 8.6 rating though. If I’m being completely honest and even including the JimmySea factor I could not rate this above 8.
