In the novel even though they were intimate but Li Rong sees Su Rong Qing more as a substitute husband, a company because she was scared to be lonely.
She herself said that she doesn't know what was her feelings towards Su Rong Qing.
Yes emotionally they were single.Li Rong also told Pei Wenxuan if he likes someone he should marry her.Which shows they are not husband wife in private.
People got mad just by reading a specific chapter which don't represent the full storyline.

Don't judge the full story by only reading a specific chapter.
Some of you didn't read the full novel or dropping the drama by reading that chapter.
The novel was an hit.If we hated the story then we wouldn't wait for the drama.
So Complete the drama or complete the novel because just 1 chapter can not represent the whole story.

That chapter was an extra chapter because in the main novel the main focus was Li Rong
They didn't described in details about Pei Wenxuan's POV related to his past life.
I think that's why the author added this chapter in the extra to show that,even though the misunderstanding started by his mistake but in the end he had to go through emotional torture.
And it was also him who took the first step in their relationship in the present life.

As the drama is focusing on both leads POV
So I think they will just show some parts from his POV not those things.
And as another user said we don't even know if they will show the romantic scenes between the main CP or
not so it has least chance to show any intimate scene with other guy.
Chinese industry are so sensitive towards these things

In the novel he lived in her mansion after being castrated as well.
But people still can be intimate in other way but I am 90% sure they will not show it in the drama because Chinese industry are sensitive towards these things.

People may felt we are overreacting
But there are many reasons for our reaction.
C-industry has many incidents where good novels ruined by bad production
Sometimes good scripts ruined by unsuitable cast.

Also if the script is bad even if they casts suitable casts it couldn't save them.
Fox spirit and the matchmaker is the biggest example where the original manhua was great,the casting was good, production was rich but script-writer destroyed everything.

Another example is legend of anle.the novel was so good.All main leads are traffic stars even they can act but the script was meh.
And rebirth of the malicious empress has a huge fandom so it's obvious people will be more concern with the adaptation.Their annoying rules is another reason.

I am okay with ZLS but not with WHD also not WXY.Not a hater of him .He was so good as Xiao Heng.
just don't find him suitable as the ML of this novel.
ZLS being the fl can be possible as it is a big female centric story.

I understand but actually the tension started after the production team released the character description list of some imortant characters where many characters were not included.Even one stuffs among the crew replied that they had to do this to cover everything in 40 episodes.

For example Cheng Lisu in the novel was known as a useless young master,he never had any feelings for Song Taotao,but in his character description in the drama,it says that he has a great medical skills(as everybody said they merged Lin Shuanghe into him) also says that he has feelings for Song Taotao.
So we can confirm that our wingman is confirmed to be deleted by them.

and there are some minor characters rumored to be deleted as people didn't saw their name or leak pictures.(not confirm)
He Yunsheng and his father(family of He Yan 2.0) as they are changing the rebirth plot due to their restrictions.
Xu Zhiheng ,even though it's okay as he was more like a lackey of He Rufei
He Yan's sister(but i hope they kept her because she was the only family member of He Yan who remains alive and she was a positive character)
Shen Muxue(as far i heard they merged her profession into song taotao)
also He Yan has so many friends in the camp but i don't know if they will keep everyone.

actually it is second popular work of the author ,her positive supporting characters also likeable that's why people are concerned with it.The main problem is their restrictions.Such a good story at least needs 50 episodes

I think it will be between Fu Xiu Yi (as a villain) and Pei Lang(as he has feelings for SM)..
Gao Yang and Luo Tan will be labeled as the secondary couple but i am not sure if they will kept the side couple

Among all drama melon ,only Qi Xing Cai is becoming strong melon,now i don't know if they are using her name as the CEO of the steller media said he wants to work with her.
The latest rumored ML is Luo Yunxi which seems to be fake and also i hope it is fake because his fans already started bashing JJY

He was Xu Jingfu's right handed man even though his devotion was an act but he needs to do his every order to make him believe it.
Also he was not a good guy from the beginning which he admits himself and His priority was his ambition that's why even thought i was pissed but wasn't surprised when he schemed around them. Because He Yan's own family did more hateful thing than him where the SML is merely just a stranger ,
And it's a rebirth ,revenge story even though the revenge part is light than the author's other novels but it is impossible to expect this type of story without conspiracy , scheming 😂


I just want them to keep it like the novel but i have no expectation from any adaptation ,Till now whenever they adapt a drama from a very popular novel ,only 10% of them was proper adaptation
Sometimes they ruined many good characters,sometimes they added extra annoying scenes or character .

This is the reason i love the author's work.Because she writes proper story not only for the main characters but also for the supporting characters.
