Both ml and FL are complex characters,they hated each other from the Start then schemed against each other.The novel is popular for many reasons.some find it controversial or some understand what the author meant but after reading the synopsis of the drama adaptation,it seems they whitewashed them. This is the reason why many novel readers didn't wanted the adaptation.They said that if they follow the novel then they will get scolding but if they don't follow the novel and whitewashed them then it will be boring and typical plots.😂
Though it has become 9 days of that comment but I saw it today and I can't stop myself commenting.
First of all I don't know why some fans of Chen Feu Yu continuosly mentioning ju Jing yi's name with that drama and why they are behaving like as if both drama will air together just because they filmed at the same time.Because both dramas are from youku and Youku isn't an idiot to make competition between their own dramas.
Secondly I was active in both page because I loved the novel of Xian Yu also like CFY and JJY but I was glad ju Jing yi being the FL was fake because she played similar role before.The topic should be ended after the confirmation of the casting. But I don't know why some CFY fans still mentioned her name after the casting saying she is regretting now,when no JJY fans said anything negative about CFY ,yes some of ju Jing yi fans had said they will look more like a sibling even some CFY fans agreed with it because according to the novel the ml is a shizu so it was not a negative comment.And why will she regret even if she really got offered before and rejected it?If she felt the character is not suitable for her or if she liked eternal fragrance's script more then there is nothing wrong with it. Both novel have good ratings in china and evey people have their own preference.
I mean it was just rumour even cheng Yi,Dylan Wang, gong jun,Zhao Lusi etc were in among the rumored cast.It is a common thing in drama world to use many big names to make hype for the drama.Even CFY himself has so many drama melon and that time some of his fans said it's for hype then how can you be so sure that ju jing Yi didn't wanted to work with your fav or she rejected the drama?Do you have any proof or do you believe those dumb YXH posts? ML's character in flourish in time was more calm guy who talked less so some people may find him boring where the SML was a joyful guy.He has many funny scenes .some likes character like him where some likes the male, I liked both of them but that was the first drama of ZLH I watched and I don't know I get attracted in his character more when I watched the drama in 2021 and also i find chemistry between them despite not having any romantic scenes. Even the it wasn't a romance based high school drama .They grew up together and later realises their crush on each other but the plot is more focused on their family,study, friendship.

I like zwy but it will be typecast of him if he took another drama in this genre.After LYF he took three historical drama,among them two dramas are based on rebirth novel.He has a great acting skill so I think he should focus more on mainstream dramas with more mature plot. And also the description doesn't match with him specially I think the male lead should be at least 180 cm tall because xjx height is 187 cm.
