Yes there will no He Yan 2.0 as they removed the rebirth trope.They gave he yunsheng's love line (with song taotao)to Cheng lisu also merged Lin shuanghe into Cheng Lisu.
I think He Yan will be saved by her master or by another way in the drama version.
And yea there will be no xu ziheng as well.But in the novel he was just a helping hand of he ru fei ,and what he had done was a decision made by he Yan's family so deleting this character will not change much.
But it is sad because the second He family gave her the family warmth which she never got from her real family.They could have show that the second He Yan died early then one day her father saved the main He Yan and treated her like his own daughter.

There is a high chance that they will cast someone among rising stars .the female lead will be more popular than male lead because its a female centric story.It's Chinese industry so don't expect two star with huge fandom being in a same drama.Most melons are just for publicity.They wanted to target both novel fans and solo fandoms of the rumored casts for hype.
It has 10+ melons So creating a fanwar between Fandoms because of a melon is really shameful.I was thinking did I came in wrong page,why it has become Zhao Lusi vs Yu Shuxin .Anyway as a novel fan if the final casting doesn't satisfy me ,I will just stick to the novel instead of throwing toxicity.I didn't watch many drama adaptation which didn't satisfy my casts expectations or cut down some of my favourite parts or favorite characters even if some of those drama gets popular.That doesn't mean I am a hater of them or they are bad actor/actress.Its because as a novel fan I will be disappointed if the casting and screenwriting doesn't fullfill my expectation.

If the crew removed him unfairly then it was right for him to raise his voice.But he dragged Zhang kangle (the SML of LOTFG) and many stars in this mess .

He is saying ZKL got resources because of nepotism.
Though I will say the SML role in LOTFG is grey shaded so it was early for a new actor like him to play this and I know there are many actor actress who got resources by having big backers.role.But his acting was well in his latest two dramas.

And if we saw in this pov then rebirth can be said fantasy as well But I never saw them labelling the normal historical novel as a fantasy novel when it has a rebirth plot.
