After he learnt that QJY saw him as a younger brother ,he didn't confessed his feeling's nor he revealed that he is yang fan.But i didn't feel that he had truly let go of his feelings .It was more like he let go of his delusions .Even when he tore off two stickers of him and jiayue's name .He could tore off only half of the sticker where QJY's name was written.I think he wanted to tore off the stickers to let go of his old world and embrace the new world.In ten years He kept a distance between them but never forgot to wish her on her birthday as yang fan.I was thinking that he kept hidden his secret and didn't reveled it for the fear that his small regret for not telling her will led into a big regret but then why did he suddenly reveal it ten years later ?..But later i understand He let himself grow up from a childish boy to a mature man and after ten years he revealed that he is yang fan which he didn't reveal when they were young .Now he has the courage to reveal everything.
though they didn't include the lines from the novel but now i understand why in the novel he told her in the end that he is not the same brat like past .i felt he wanted to mean that now he is not same as he was when they were teenager whom she had to care like a didi.
