But somehow it's working on Taichi. He's a vulnerable and unsecure guy.
Yes, I noticed that too. It's funny bc his confidence is normally very high. And that's not surprising bc he has a lot going for him. But I think his insecurity has to do with him being abandoned by his parents when he was young. That's traumatic. There's probably a belief in his mind and a fear that someone he really cares about is better off without him. That they don't want him near of don't need him. I mean, Taichi did make himself very useful to Kohei by taking his notes in school. He's genuinely trying to help Kohei because he cares for him but it's also a way to make him feel needed. And that's exactly where Maya is trying to hurt him. It's like a weak spot and she noticed.
Maya is painfully late with her meddling. Kohei already knows Taichi is a great guy (he said so himself to her) and that’s why he’s so attracted to him. (I mean, it’s easy to fall for this guy, right?) He recognized his pure intentions early on. Taichi really is a very kind and friendly guy who deeply cares about his friend Kohei. Whatever her motives are... Maya can play any card she has but she’s too late.
Btw the lead actors were both in the baseball-drama 'Gekokujo Kyuji'. Anyone seen that? And how was it? I figured it might soften the pain of waiting for the next episode.
people made me laugh cuz they think that he is pretending to be deaf. Did you know that people can become deaf…
In addition to this comment, I really recommend that people should watch the Japanese drama 'Silent' (2022) (also on Viki) if they want to know more about being hearing impaired and sign language. It's also about love for music and it deals with a lot of misconceptions on both sides, the hearing and the deaf. It's about a guy who loses his hearing in high school/college and withdraws from his relationship with his girlfriend. They meet again 8 years later and she finds out what actually happened. The drama shows how much his illness affects him and his loved-ones. I did some translations for Viki for this drama and it was one of my favourite translation experiences bc I didn't know how much emotion a dialogue could have without actually hearing them speak. Sign language and facial expressions did it all! https://kisskh.at/736575-silent
did a rewatch (again) and everytime I feel sad for Beom Seok and how it all went downhill. Not that I think his actions are excusable in any way but more like the same sadness and powerlessness Si Eun feels in the drama for seeing his friend (who also has good in him) corrupt. And deteriorate the friendship of the trio more and more with each stupid action. In the last episode classroom scene Si Eun asks: “Why? Why did you do that?” Beom Seok replies: “I don’t know why. You of all people should understand” and Si Eun says: “Yes. I understand. So you should understand too.” as he lifts up his arm to deliver that final blow. But then he can’t make himself to do that anymore. It sums up the tragedy of the final episodes. It could have been such a nice friendship between the three of them.
Truly amazing. I think what really got me into this was the fight by our main characters for justice and truth. I didn't have to think twice about pledging my allegiance to the luminous Mei Chang Su and the righteous Prince Jing whom he intends to install as Emperor. Almost wished this was real, what am I to do with my life now I finished it...
The last few episodes were heartbreaking, yes. It wasn't an abrupt ending, the drama ended the story satisfying and beautiful. But the damage was already done unfortunately. :( I still really recommend watching this though. (with some tissues)

I hope it’ll be available soon. I really liked Ji Sung in the Devil Judge.
