Nice.. I have never watched a police theme drama, so that surely goes in my ptw. I finished 'I came in search of a flower' a month ago and started 'Nine-9xtravel','Mother' and 'Kazoku Game'. This is the first time that a drama straightway went to my top favourites, I actually felt very happy at its ending (and I even wrote my first ever review) and could start 3 dramas which are turning out great.

So seems like my drama slump is very far away :) :)

I just finished ep 2. The scene where he takes the kid dragging to school was just awesome. I just loved the camera movement in that scene.
Its turning out to be a very good drama :)

Over the last decade, there were a handful of really good movies made in bollywood. All of them are slice of life type with some of them mixing up comedy too. I will list a few of them. English Vinglish is one of them.

- Lagaan (nominated for oscar in 2001, national sensation)
- Rang De Basanti (I cried in theatre !!)
- Dil Chahta Hai (probably every Indian's favourite)
- Like Stars on Earth (You will love this film, I guarantee)
- Munnabhai MBBS (Total comedy with some serious slice of life all along)
- 3 idiots (its a recent one, one of my favs)

I would be really glad if you like any one of the above mentioned. But I would understand if its difficult for you to comprehend as the meaning of dialogues changes when there are subtitles. I would guess TranquilKnight would have told some common recs too :)

If you plan to watch movies then there's an indie film which many haven't seen - "Re-encounter".

There are a handful of movies which come out to be very good in india each year. I remember about English Vinglish being one of them as many people were talking about it. I will now have to see it. :)

It's my work. I work and travel places. Its' like for 4-5 months and then i get to stay at home for 2 months. Meeting new people with different cultural backgrounds is the only thing I like in my line of work. Well hell. I loved My Sassy Girl too. Such a pity that hollywood copied it and could't be a success.

I loved Kokuhaku the minute its first loooong scene finished. I have never seen any film with that concept. Very long scenes executed perfectly.

Even if you see 'Perdition' you won't compare it with Tonbi. Tom Hanks is a gangster and his small son finds out that. The rest of the story is then about their relationship. So I guess, Tonbi will be absolutely different thematically. But I am looking forward to that.

I can't believe that I am getting a recommendation of a bollywood movie from a foreigner. This is special for me. My elder brother (who also loves watching stuff, only holly n bolly though) recommended 'English Vinglish' to me but I plainly declined that offer as I was so in k-world at that moment. Now I really get what my brother feels everytime when I recommend a korean film to him and he declines to watch it. YOU just made me realize this. Thanks !

I have heard about Soulmate being a very good drama. I will definitely see it when I get a chance.

I recently finished writing a review for "I came in search of a flower". Right now I'm watching Japanese drama "Mother" and Korean "Nine : 9 x Travel". I am finding both of these quite good and it feels like they are not going to disappoint me with their stories. :)

Speaking about movies, have you watched this english film "The Road to Perdition", starring Tom Hanks ? Till date it has been my favorite father-son film. But I guess when I watch Tonbi, I would feel different.
