Yes, bullying celebrities is pretty normal for Knetizens, which is very wrong. As far as writers trying to sabotage Kim Eun Sook goes? I don't think that's true. She is writing what she always writes and it always gets criticism for being superficial and has polarized reviews. With the exception of Mr.Sunshine which was excellent.
However, the reason why this drama is recieving criticism has nothing to do with knetz bullying culture. It's objectively not that good of a drama, which you might come to realize after you've experienced more genres, writers, actors and their work. However, it's completely normal to love and defend a drama you like personally so like I said no harm in that.

Beautiful cinematography and direction is one thing. Bad writing is another. One doesn't excuse the other.
It cannot be compared to emmy winning/oscar winning stuff just because it looks pretty. Because, it severely lacks the substance those films/dramas hold despite their flaws.

I have watched 11 episodes and I understood every scene so far. What was happening in what world and when. And I still think it's a poorly written and badly paced show that is getting the hype its getting because of the all star cast and some ridiculously executed hype scenes to make people react.
Ofcourse this is only my opinion and I in no way want to judge you for yours. If you like the show that's great but please understand others don't like it for valid reasons rather than just pointing out flaws or not understanding. Have a good day ^-^ ❤

Excellent review. So true about Park Hae Joon giving an excellent performance. I read somewhere that he gets a lot of hate for the role and even those who praise him, he feels burdened by it. So I hope people are able to separate the character from the actor.
