I've been waiting for this article!!I have never hated a character so much as Kim Hye Jin (Hwang Jung-eum)…
Say it louder for the people in the back sister! Excellent comment.
I will never ever understand how clumsy is an attractive trait. Like ever.
If the ML is there to support the FL in her time of distress, is a rock she needs and protects from her things beyond her control, I'll slip an aww or two. But when he becomes a crutch for her walking talking disaster self where she is horribly dependent on him for breathing too, I think it's time to say goodbye.
This article is the food my soul needs today. That dose of unforgiving honesty, don't ever stop dishing em!! Strong…
Exactly, exactly what I mean. There's one thing to have vulnerable moments (that's realistic) but another thing to transform into a pitiful helpless human only capable of making stupid decisions in a blink of an eye.
I agree about the actress playing boon yi in SFD but I wouldn’t write off ALL female characters in the drama…
There were definitely a few with a lot of potential. I loved that sword wielding baddie. However, their character wasn't as developed as I would have liked. SFD focused more on its male cast and they were the saving grace for that show.
I think I do agree with you. Most of the people here are of the same opinion as yours. I feel its right to sympathize…
Holyyy shit. I am the least patient person when it comes to dramas. I will literally drive myself mad by watching these scenes xD I think I'll put in on my PTW but pick it up at a later time. :D
Nice article...haven't seen all the shows here but I definitely agree with the point about a damsel in distress…
I totally get what you mean. I have no issue with the girl showing vulnerability when it comes to her man or if she chooses to lean on him for support but when she loses her entire sense of self worth and starts revolving around him, that's when things get rocky.
Thankyou for reading the article. I really loved your comment. It's a different perspective than mine but one…
Brilliant comment. I see complete sense in everything you have said and surprisingly, I find myself agreeing.
I was planning to write an article on women that exhibit silent strength for a while now and your comment has given me another push towards it.
Also, I don't know if this sounds creepy but I am genuinely interested in your thoughts on things and love the way you've expressed them so eloquently. To the point, that I'd love to know your views on other things too. Coronavirus? Feminism? What do you really look for in dramas? Anything really that inspires conversation.
I am not a weak whiny female so I do not like them in person or in dramas etc. An obnoxious female lead is worse…
I feel like some dramas take females who appear to be 'weak' on the surface and turn them into amazing women who exhibit a silent strength. Shows like Mother and Mars are examples of that. Other dramas try to do the same and fail. This is a list of those- in my opinion.
I can really relate with 'quit watching most tv years ago because its usually crap'! I really felt that way when I started K-Dramas but what do you know, I started this old show called 'Damages' a legal, crime thriller drama with morally ambigous characters and I am loving it!

Thankyou for reading and enjoying the article! ❤
Oh that's bad news. I was looking forward to watching Han Hyo Joo as a lot of people praised her in The Beauty Inside
Thankyou for reading and enjoying the article! ♡

The wig. You forgot that damn gray haired wig she had in the last episode. The trench coats got nothing on that. :DD
