I don't know why, but something about such unlikeable sleezybags is good enough to keep me hooked. Kudos if they…
I can definitely understand the guilty pleasure aspect of the dramas but with such badly written dramas sometimes all that's left is guilt (for putting yourself through this bullshit) and no pleasure.
I watched these dramas all in my very early stages of drama watching which is why I completed them all but I think if I watched them now, I'd definitely be dropping some.
Yeah combine that with the fact that there's so much repetition and the same abuse/abuse/love happens to the side characters too and some lakorns are downright torture to watch.
I agree and yet, I still end up watching. This archetype was really prevalent in the bodice ripping novels that…
I see where you're coming from and I'd be lying if I said I don't see the appeal in these heathens but for me it lasts only if the Devil does in fact gets tamed by the end. If he's still the devil- in the literal sense of the word- then things go sour.
I still sort of blame Kathleen. E. Woodwiss for pioneering those body ripper novels. Flame and the Flower was such a rape promoting eyesore.
YES! Thank you! I felt like I was the only one actually paying attention while watching Innocent Man when it was…
First of all, thankyou so much for leaving such an in depth and insightful reply. Users like you motivate me to write these articles. :D
Also, I too agree with everything you said. The complete annihilation of the female character in Innocent Man was Painful To Watch.
In Madam Antoine the way they manipulated psychology for their own silly ideas was laughable. A flat-out clinical research about how love doesn't exist? Really? :")
I agree, just because you're scarred does not give you the right to do the same to others. And if by some slight you do, you need to more than make up for it.
thankfully, I haven't watched any of these dramas yet xDD but I have watched a couple where the main guy is a…
Yeah but I feel like there's a difference b/w anti-heroes and bad boys nowadays. Dramas sometimes get the latter right while they butcher the former. Baek In Ha was such a sweetheart and Wang So was the only thing good about Moon Lovers. While they do act out, they compensate for the jerk ways. It's only a problem when you're an asshole with zero accountability. Dx
This article was actually very amazing, something that needs to be addressed to everyone out there. The only one…
Same. I mean why would a person keep driving his own mindless revenge like a baboon anyway. His one job is to discern the truth, find out what really happened and side with justice but ofcourse he fails at it. Also I love that instead of showing any of his actual work as a lawyer they only show him stomping around wearing suits and holding documents trying to prove that he ,indeed, is a lawyer. Smh
You know... it was clear from the title of the article what it was going to be about. Your comment is hypocritical…
If you think you can do a better job than this author, than go for it, make a change write your own damn article, don't waste your time by being salty here.
Seriously people, what's with all the salt in the comment section? It's pretty clear from the title and the "These are all my own opinions and I respect your opinions. Here are six popular K-dramas (which aired and ended in 2017) that I "personally" disliked." That it's only the author's own preference so why are people getting so butthurt.
1) If you don't have the stomach to see your favorite dramas get bashed, then don't read it.
2)If you think these kind of articles are boring/shouldn't be written/nothing new then a)refer to number 1 b)write your own damn articles c)Don't discourage people from giving out their own honest opinions.
3) Miss me with that bs about "Don't like a drama-Don't watch it" The entertainment industry specifically puts out dramas so that we can watch them and critiquing them is an actual job. Dramas don't come with a "This might be not to your taste so if you don't like it don't complain" kind of a disclaimer unlike the one this author clearly comes with.
4)There are a million and one ways to find out about new dramas and a lot of people write articles relating to that, you don't have to purposefully come to this one and air out all your hatred/grievances.
5)Don't be hypocrites. Don't criticize the author for criticizing a drama when you're here criticizing her opinion on the drama.
6)If you have something you disagree upon, explain your point of view in an educated manner. It's not that hard to do, especially if you want people to take your shit seriously.
Lastly, MDL is all about love kids. Toughen up a bit, leggo of some of that sensitivity and enjoy life.
Okay first of all, let me just say how cute this article was :D You were so incredibly nice and cautious xD Second of all, let me just say how accurate this article was. I agree with everything (for the dramas I watched). Tho bish I wanna fight you on Mad Dog (you dropped it on 10th episode dkshkhhjkkd before all the good sfuff) but I can't deny, the plot of MD was kinda hella boring at times, the characters were the only strength so agree!
Alsoooo, @ 'still debating whether or not to watch Empress Ki' broooo EK is my favorite drama of all time. It's an absolute must watch. Brilliant Story. Brilliant characters. Brillian Acting Brilliant Everything.
If you do end up checking it out, it would be so dope!
Anyway, great article! Congrats on the first ever, I'd be looking out for more quality stuff like this from you. :DD <3
I have this episode on my PTW and I watched a few episodes and put it on hold cause of exams. I am so glad to hear good remarks on it because it helps motivate me to keep watching. The women empowerment in this show is such a plus. It's amazing how low it is rated tho.
I can only praise you for your bravery and courage, Jeana, for putting at least both Pinocchio and City Hunter…
Haha lol I personally thought some of them were pretty damn bad x'D But since I still have a long way to go in drama watching, maybe the next time I write an article I'll include some of the truly bad one's. :D
Lmao I wish I had watched the rest of the shows to give a more detailed response to it but I've only watched While You Were Sleeping and Suspicious Partner and you're right. They were both pretty terrible. I finished one because of Ji Chang Wook and Dong Ha and the other just 'cause I kept waiting for something good to come up, and then I realized that the ending credits came up instead. So I was like shit oh well, some of my life just got wasted. What's new?
Great Article Tho! Definitely something I would write lmao
I loved Sawan Biang (don't hate me). It really IS a mess, though: the thing I disliked strongly about it was the…
Haha I thought that Sawan Biang had potential but they made a lot of blunders. Maybe if they gave nore focus on Kawee's redemption I would've thought differently. The acting was great tho.
Okay this is hands-down the best article I have read on kisskh because it is so so accurate.
The rape part grinds my gears soooo much. Like I can't explain how much. This is one reason why I rated Sawan Biang so low. Cause that show was simply a mess.
One another annoying thing about Lakorns is how the female's family members are always so stupid. They push her towards the abusive male instead of protecting her and there's so much victim blaming.
I agree with everything on a cellular level. Excellent article once again. You're on a roll here xD
Great article (as always xD). Most of these are my guilty pleasures. A classic case of love and hate together. Usually, because most of these come with some amazing chemistry between the main leads. And chemistry I like. :D

Great review. Concise and to the point. Good job!
I'll add to it.
W: Badly written drama bout a badly written manhwa coming to life.
I'm sorry I love you: A sobworthy biopic of a walking talking tragedy with a bullet in thy brain.
Playful Kiss: Love story between a stalker girl and her block of stone victim.
