I think anything other than reporter would have worked better! I couldn't just get along with the idea of her…
I agree. There is no given reason for any action taken in this drama.
The drama has no cause only an effect.
What is the cause of the rebels killing and bombing people?
Why are the chinese soldiers and mercenaries fighting the war alone.
Why are the native soldiers guarding a boon instead of guarding their people 😂

Then, the reporter. Why is she so clinging, by following a man and disregarding her own life?
Im perplexed and I am only at episode 7 🙄

Review Perfect Match
Hi SD1D enthusiasts.
Hope you're well.

Before I decided to watch the series, I found your review quite interesting.
So, I apologise for intruding here, I tend to traffic through the detail.

The opening of the series the viewers are introduced to a mother and her daughters relocating to a city where her second daughter resides.

On arrival she is barred from entering her daughter's home. This is the part where the viewers are shown a strong woman headed household. Before the mother leaves, she slaps the housemaid. This portrays that she is protective of her daughters, as she assumes that her son in-law forbids her daughter to interact with family.

We are introduced to the daughters husband whose
face is bruised forcing him to wear a veiled hat. When he is asked if his wife beat him, he denies it and blames himself. He is quite self-aware 😂

We are introduced to his cousin and his friend. Here is the devil in the detail "Was it your wife?"
"I must meet you shrewed wife."
This means, its not the first time his wife has beat him.
The cousin sends a maid to tell the wife that her husband is in his chamber with a woman.

The wife enters the chamber with a sword only to find his cousin.
Another detail to note from the cousin, "The violent one is heartless. The ugly one is envious." 🙃
He meant that the jealousy and insecurities are making her look less attractive. The people of the town are sympathising with her husband.
(The cousin is not partial to the husband. He understand the wife)
She picks up a stone to chew (She would rather feel physical pain than dealing with emotional pain) self-inflicted

COUSIN AND SISTER.
The mother and her daughter attend a lunch banquet at her married daughter home.
Her husband feign illness to which she feeds him "urine."
His cousin watch her actions without intervening.
Also, he (cousin) noticed that this potion was not made by the wife, but her sister.
He gets curious about her.

THE SLAP, AND BALL.
I am going to start using the names. I am really not interested in the wife and husband issues as she feels she need to protect herself all the time, and has trust issues. This is largely due to her
experiences when growing up.
Her husband explains their story to his disrespected friends
(He defends his wifes sisters action)

Chen An who was listening has now taken interest in their story about " how they protected, not only themselves but their land as well."

Firstly, Chen An is not interest in any of the other sisters. He is curious about the one who wore the red skirt, Kang Ming.
He is even more curious about her after hearing that she slapped the two friends.

Then, he kicks a ball to get her attention. Here we should note the force used to kick the ball. He never intended to hurt her, (the height the ball was kicked) He wanted to meet this feisty women to quench his curiosity.
A vengeful Kang Ning returns the ball with forceful kick, knocking out one of Chen An's friend.

AT THE TEMPLE
Here we are again introduce to an overprotective mother.
She assumes the man who stole the offerings had ill intentions towafds her daughters.

So, I think the title of the drama is quite suitable.

1) It is a woman headed household. The father and son past away. The mother is afraid that men wont find them suitable.

2) The mother and daughters are a force to reckon with. They were forced to protect themselves and their land. They are tough and some rough. Hence kang Ming and the younger sister.

3) The mother and her daughter's are strong willed. Quick to defend and protect themselves, but slow to trust. She only pray that her daughter's can find husbands who will accept them for who they are.

This is how I have observed both
title and story line so far.
It is nothing too deep. It is a light drama if you dont think too much into it. 😉
