i want to keep watching hoping it will get better but ive seen up to ep 6 so far and it just gets too corny and taiwan hasnt really made it their own, i expected some scenes to be similar but they kinda copied you're beautiful far to much.
the acting isnt great either, the main female lead is average and they could have picked a better actress to play her role, although i will let her off seeing as this is her first drama, its the same with jeremy too the only decentish actor here is jiro wang.
i just hope the drama gets better although im halfway through it now so i highly doubt it will change that much :/
i must be the only one who enjoyed this drama, as much of a train wreck it was and how poorly written i did enjoy watching it and even though i didnt want to continue watching the drama i still did. the drama did have some good points but too many bad points, the story was all over the place from gumihos, love triangles, someone getting severely ill, a secret birth secret, and them all the random customers who seem to have problems too im glad it was over and sort of pleased with the ending.
but this drama could have been so much better, i think if they remade it/rewrote it using a similar idea, cut out the gumiho rubbish but keep the salon and use it in the plot and still keep the love triangle, i think it would be more interesting, although they should make it longer and add in a few more parts here and there?
aahh now i remember this film, i watched it ages ago, it was on tv which is odd for my country, you dont usually see asian films unless they are like made by english people, i remember watching it and finding subtitles weird (i hadnt become a drama addict them or even knew about asian countries) but what i do remember is loving the film enough to continue watching with the subtitles, its a film recommended for those who like a bit of mystery to it and lots of great action scenes :)
one of the all time memorable OST instrumentals in kdrama for me was playful kiss because it was so bubbly and suited the drama so well for me, another was mary stayed out all night that has quite a few, but the drama that tops my list and is still to this day the most memoriabls OST's for me was definitely hana kimi

in particular the last one make me always think IS THERE ANY SHAMPOO
i really liked him in BOF too i loved all the actors although more kim bum and him i did wonder where he went to :P glad hes out now though and ready to act, he was cute and funny when i saw him on happy together in the BOF special and man can he sing too---he was the singer for some of the OST's in his group i think it was called t-max
i really enjoyed this film, i like the chemistry between ji hyo and jaejoong and the style of it it had me laughing throughout but i do wish for more romance and also the setting for this film was bland it seemed like they only had the budget to film in that hotel? and also the script towards the end also became a bit bland too but nevertheless i did enjoy the film and would recommend it for those who are looking for a light film to pass time.
what i do hope for is some sort of sequel to this film purely because the chemistry to me was great and the relationship between the mains in the film made me laugh plus i want more romance shown, i do also get the feeling from the end of the film that there could possibly be a sequel
shes a great actress and really funny on variety shows, she was so cute on running man ^^ i felt sad when she was eliminated though, it was too soon, i demand running man invite her to guest again, she made it more entertaining
now i know the reason why they were guests in running man... i hope this is a good one. im still unsure to watch…
what issue with n.korea? if its about the bomb threats im pretty sure they arent to fussed about it, i know some people out there who said when there are threats people in s.korea just go about their daily lives--when there were threats they took the piss out of it on SNL korea (someone played the leader of n.korea and was shouting i will bomb you, i will destroy you in a childish way, he also had a toy bomb/rocket in his hands) plus when there were issues with n.korean s.korea had the drama king 2 hearts although its probably different from how this film will be.
im also a fan of running man ^^ loved that ep although hyun woo wasnt really that active, although hes fairly new to variety shows, when kookie was scolding haha hyun woo looked genuinely scared XD
the reason why the two's chemistry is so great in this drama is probably because they are dating in real life, so acting together in the romantic scenes must have been easier for them :) plus if they are dating they already have the natural chemistry, they are so cute together XD
this looks and sounds good to me but im put off by the mens hairstyles which sounds silly i know, plus i dont usually like chinese dramas i only find a rare few that dont annoy me or are ridiculously long, i may give it a try :)
i really liked this movie when it came out :) and i watched it but watching it again the other day i didnt like it as much, like everyone is saying it could have been better, not a lot stood out and it was too rushed, although i do think i was comparing it too much with modern films and dramas :/
watched the first ep with half subs and well i dont hate it but i dont love it either, there is lots of eye candy but the female lead is soo unbelievably annoying in her exaggerated expressions and acting and also the haircut is the worst, i may if im bored one day watch the second ep if its subbed, but for me this drama from ep 1 is annoying and the only good thing is the eye candy
i think kdramas are more dominant and popular because kdramas also seem to have more funding, in that they have lots of product placement within the dramas (sometimes not so subtly placed though) and i think kdramas can do well with the genre of tense dramatic romances that make your heart ache and they can do some cute scenes too and a few good comical moments. But korea usually portrays the female lead as weak and helpless until her prince charming comes along and makes her realise she can be strong (not always though)
Japan for me im fed up with watching jdramas lately because the girls in jdramas are always the same with the cutesy look and well they just seem to get on my nerves, even some of the more mature dramas where the main female lead is supposed to be in her late 20's or mid 30's she still seems to act all innocent and cutesy/childlike. But there are still a few jdramas i have seen where the female lead isnt ott with looking cute.
Taiwanese dramas, i havent seen one yet that has really disappointed me, thet really do know how to do their romcoms and drama romances. all the romantic comedies i have seen have really touched me emotionally, whether it was feeling sorry for the lead actress/actor or whether it was a romantic kiss. But with tw comedies they can exaggerate it a bit and make it seem 'slapstick' like.
but overall i like kdramas, twdramas and jdramas all the same but i still seem to watch more kdramas :)
i have to say im kinda getting fed up with the theme of all their customers having problems all the time and them…
yeah i mean if they had a regular customer who came every day (like in the first few eps) then i could perhaps understand more them wanting to help her out but a lot of the recent customers are just one off people. only 4 more eps to go though and i loved the end of ep 6 with k and bunny :) i hope they dont ruin the ending of this drama, i feel more like she will be with k rather than alex because k and bunny have more interactions. although what i do find odd is how jin and now k know shes a woman but seem to be perfectly ok with it? you think they would be a little annoyed but it just seems like nthing to them, i dont think the writers handled that part so well ?
I have watched the first 2 eps and its not terrible and I will keep watching. But so far there has only been one different scene (ep 2 with jeremy teasing mi nam with the bugs) which I did like but also hated, i liked it because it was differnt but when she jumped into xin yu's arms i found it a but too ridiculous (although the scene was cute)
To be honest in ep 2 they made it far far to obvious she was a girl, I mean her screams are far too high pitched for a girl, it annoyed me because I couldn't help but think in real life you would notice because of that that she's a girl, in the korean version mi nam did at least try and act like a guy. I also dislike the female lead I think they could have picked a better actress. They also cut out jolie :( they don't have the dog (a real one) but then again the dogs role wasn't exactly important. Unlike the japanese version though I do like the tw version of jeremy he's cute and can pull it off. But so far watching the first to eps it is more of a copy of the korean than a remake seeing as even in some places the script is exactly the same :(
I do plan to continue watching but I really hope that they make it their own version rather than just a 'clone' of the korean
i have to say im kinda getting fed up with the theme of all their customers having problems all the time and them having to get involved and solve the problem, i like how it makes the drama different but its really unrealistic and the theme is getting old, i only really continue watching now for the interactions between k and bunny and alex and also jin
i want to keep watching hoping it will get better but ive seen up to ep 6 so far and it just gets too corny and taiwan hasnt really made it their own, i expected some scenes to be similar but they kinda copied you're beautiful far to much.
