Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
I totally feel you!!! No words can describe how perfect that was done -using songs to convey the inner expressions. As odd as it sounds to be addicted to the pain, the emotions in those scenes were just so heart wrenching but yet you can’t help watching it -it’s just that good 🥲
We were served both bitter and sweet altogether in those episodes -one right after the other, they went by too quick 🫠
I do hope the remaining episodes can compensate for and bump up the ratings. This drama at the moment is not very highly ranked both here on this page and in some of the China data sites 😐
Ep 24 all the emotions in it...the soundtrack is amazing...KML and his eyes are another world...I've been replaying…
The OST is splendid, it relates to the drama really really well! Each time I listen to it all the emotions come back with the scenes replaying in my mind 😭
That part of the opening song that played during the scene when she threw the bracelet at him:
“I’m the one that lied so I should be forgotten by you, just let me experience the time without you, I don’t deserve to be forgiven” -those exact words are so precisely impactful and speaks their mind, it exemplified the emotions felt there 10 times more with the song there 😵😵😵
Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
The OST seriously deserves an award 🏆!!!
OMG that part of the opening song that played during the scene when she threw the bracelet at him and left was so 😭😭😭

Because there was prejudice. That was why she did not open up to Kui Mu Lang no matter what he did -she couldn’t…
Yes it is frustrating, she just needed something to wake her up and finally come to terms with accepting him after so long and that incident was the catalyst to their development. At the time she needed someone the most, Kui Mu Lang was there by her side and she gradually opened up.
Everything would have moved faster if this was a movie but at least things are picking up now, we’re getting there
It's rather ironic that when she's not blind, she didn't open her heart to KML but when she's blind she FINALLY…
Because there was prejudice. That was why she did not open up to Kui Mu Lang no matter what he did -she couldn’t or wouldn’t see past the prejudice she had of/against him.
But on the contrary, her losing her sight actually took away the one factor for any prejudice. Therefore during the time she couldn’t see, she was able to develop a closer relationship with Kui Mu Lang and discover his warmth/sincerity by her side and realize that it is similar to how she feels about being with Li Xiong which eventually led to the truth about his identity.
The writers of course had to wait until near the end to pour it out in order to develop their relationship further given how Chinese dramas usually are lol 😆
OMG it looks like there will be a good resolution when Qi Pa finds out that Li Xiong is Kui Mu Lang!!!Check out…
Judging from the looks of the trailer for today’s episodes, the way they made Qi Pa find out the truth about his identity plays out perfectly. I was thinking maybe the revelation will be how she saw him transform into his night time appearance as Li Xiong but it seems like it’s from seeing how it is Li Xiong that has been taking care of her (with Kui Mu Lang’s voice) when it’s supposed to be Kui Mu lang himself once she gained her sight, and that confirmed her suspicions about the similarities she felt between them.
Qi Pa losing her sight was seemingly a good thing as it took away the factor for any prejudice (that was why she would not open up to Kui Mu Lang no matter what he did because of her prejudice against him -she could not or would not see past it). Hence during the time she couldn’t see, she was able to develop a closer relationship with Kui Mu Lang and discover his warmth by her side and realize that it is similar to how she feels about being with Li Xiong.
Let’s see how it all turns out. I can’t wait until this is all resolved and we get to see them finally being together officially happily! 🥰
Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
Definitely! The OST is such a gem, so many emotions in merely a phrase or two. I didn’t see the connection of that last line at first until it suddenly just clicked with the pearl and everything adds up 🤯
One song ends with “I don’t deserve to be forgiven” and the other “Without me, can you get what you want/wish for” -so much can be felt there, just brilliant 🥹
OMG it looks like there will be a good resolution when Qi Pa finds out that Li Xiong is Kui Mu Lang!!!Check out…
There does not seem to be another way for Qi Pa to like Kui Mu Lang except when finding out his identity given how she has been/only associates Kui Mu Lang with negativity from the start, regardless of what he does for her (she only wants to leave under his presence). It will only be then that she sees him differently after knowing he is Li Xiong.
If the storyline follows the Beauty and the Beast route then Qi Pa will leave him as he lets her go once she discovers the truth about his initial intentions (feeling betrayed that falling for him was all but a trap) but ends up coming back to save him from danger (when his beast-like appearance is discovered by the people and they want him dead) realizing that she will lose him if she doesn’t. That will be the moment when he gets the pearl from the kiss and he will no longer have his wolf form anymore, retaining his human form again.
I wonder by then which name will he go with, is it still Kui Mu Lang or Li Xiong 🤔
Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
We definitely need more episodes of them being together happily!
I can’t stop listening to the two songs after making all these inferences, I think I just found another meaning to this last line of the ending song 🥲
若无我 你可皆如意 - Without me, can you get what you want/wish for
It is essentially referring to the fact that if it wasn’t for her he cannot get the pearl, and if she had not accidentally swallowed it then he would not have approached her to keep her by his side and eventually fall in love/gain her true love in the end. Therefore, because of her, it becomes a double-win situation for him and it’s true, without her, he cannot get what he is looking for -she is his everything 🥺
OMG it looks like there will be a good resolution when Qi Pa finds out that Li Xiong is Kui Mu Lang!!!Check out…
I am hoping that that scene is as simple as her finding out that Li Xiong is Kui Mu Lang and she is very happy that she can finally be with him openly and doesn’t hide it.
As for the angst scenes we know that will come up will probably have to do with her finding out that his intention was to get the pearl initially and she is hurt so she leaves him 😢
Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
Yes I agree! I am amazed with the songwriting for Chinese dramas on how they can make the OST very well from just getting the gist of the story.
OMG and it suddenly occurred to me that these two phrases in the opening song actually makes a really deep connection now when you put them together:
我盼着天亮 - I look forward to daylight
留下你 用尽百计千万 - Exhausted all means/efforts to make you stay
This seems to be implying how he looks forward to the daytime because he can spend time with Qi Pa as Li Xiong (since that is when she’s happy with him) and whenever she brings up the idea on escaping during their time together, he tries all he can to make her stay by speaking up for his other self. It is all making sense now!!! 😭
The last time I felt that the OST really resonates with a character was the ending song from the drama Someday or One Day. It described the female lead’s desperate yearning for her deceased boyfriend flawlessly. If you haven’t checked that one out I suggest you do so as it is also a very interesting and touching story!
I suggest you copy/add this interesting comment to the OST Discussion here : https://kisskh.at/discussions/lang-jun-bu-ru-yi/109769-the-princess-and-the-werewolf-link-to-full-ost…
I just did with the addition of some of the analysis for the ending song as well! Thank you for the suggestion! I hope more people will check out the OST
Yesss they make the ost amaizngly. I love how it really represents their story... also ending song like form her…
Totally!
This is like the one drama that I actually paid close attention to the opening and ending songs and realize how on point it is to the story (a lot of times we only pay attention to the melody and not the words to songs so let alone it being an OST which tells you it’s written for the drama 😅)
I looked back at the ending song and this phrase describes the male lead’s two characters very well, one is Li Xiong who is sincere when he's with her and the other is Kui Mu Lang who is scheming when he lied about liking her in the beginning to keep her by his side for the pearl:
一幕是真心 一幕是心机费尽 One scene/side is sincere, one scene/side is scheming
And these two lines, despite everything, she has already fallen for him before she even knew it:
一幕一步皆是你身影 Every scene and every step is your figure (everything is you) 沉迷在有你的幻境里 I an indulged in the illusion of you
That photo is actually the one used in the Spotify playlist! I agree it should be the poster for the drama, it is indeed really beautiful and suits the historical fantasy genre
I am so in love with the opening song for this drama 😍 It is really well written even without knowing the context of the drama!!!
I don’t know if anyone noticed but in the duet version, some of the verses were changed for the female part to fit the female lead perspective so when they sing together in harmony it becomes like the male lead’s feelings are heard with the female lead replying to them (if you pay close attention to the harmony parts you will hear it).
Male part:
留下你 用尽百计千万 Exhausted all means to make “you” stay 就让我独自品尝 没有你的时光 Just let me experience the time without “you” 是我说了谎 就应该被你遗忘 I lied so I should be forgotten by “you” 我不值 不值得被原谅 I don’t deserve to be forgiven
Female part:
留下我 用尽百计千万 Exhausted all means to make “me” stay 就让你独自品尝 没有我的时光 Just let “you” experience the time without “me” 说了谎 就应该被我遗忘 …lied so you should be forgotten by “me” 我其实 其实早已原谅 I have already forgiven
I really love the last harmony when the female says “I have already forgiven” while the male is expressing how he does not deserve it -the feels there 🥹
After analyzing the song, it makes this version even more touching and fitting to the drama. They should have made Xuan Yi and Zhe Yuan sing the duet which would add a perfect touch to the story ❤️
I am so glad the OST is posted here! Let’s all listen to the songs on the playlist on Spotify/YouTube so that it becomes popular and more people will notice 🤗
She has super strength? Because she was good at sports? She only show she was fit when she kick the ball to save…
It was mostly certain parts of the plot that seemed similar and not the entire drama. If you feel that it does not relate, you don't have to agree. It's just a thought that came to mind when watching this

If you watched Strong Woman Do Bong Soon then you would get the connection I was trying to make here. But yes even though there were only a few scenes in the beginning episodes that showed her supposed strength to create those funny moments, there were other parts of the plot and character relations that are similar to that drama

It is highly recommended to check out the OST! I went as far as to analyze the opening and ending songs and have added them to the discussion page:

We’re almost there! I honestly don’t want it to end next week already but really want to see them together so badly 😫😮💨🥺
