seems like a lot of people didn't like how ep 13 went down but i really liked it though? i think of it as a price…
I loved the ending and where it ended up, but this could have happened 2 episodes ago, that's my only critique. The plot became repetitive and boring the past two episodes.
I really love where the writer took it at the end, another fun twist, but she needed one more plot point for these last few episodes cause it was so dragged out and tedious and repetitive, I FFed most of this ep and am just happy we're moving on. Almost every drama has 2-3 eps that drag so I'm hoping this will be back to the earlier high quality in these last few eps.
I see a lot of comments complaining about Sol while she is doing everything just to save Sunjae...
She actually very controlling underneath her selflessness . Of course she cares about him, but she is acting more out of her own anxiety and not wanting to feel the guilt and sadness of his death rather than fully out of love for him. When you really love someone you allow them to make their own decisions in life, even if you disagree or it would hurt you. I find her extremely emotionally immature for a 30 year old woman.
Her not including him in major decisions about his life is manipulative and kind of a betrayal, and she's been doing it over and over. He deserves to be the one to make decisions about his life--informed decisions. Her keeping information from him is kinda cruel actually, especially because she keeps putting him into danger because she doesn't actually think through any decisions before acting out of pure emotion.
She's crazy reckless with his feelings, well being, and even life at this point. So I find her selflessness kinda shallow tbh.
Her decision the leave the train is correct. She knows the attack will happen in In Hyuk's hometown. And she does…
No it was her deciding to get off the train that brought that reality. If she had had an ounce of trust in SJ and stayed on the train it couldn't have happened because she would have been back int Seoul.
But she refuses to trust anyone but herself, which is why she ends up screwing things up over and over.
She will see the the exact same thing happen because she chose to stay. SJ will still end up there with her because he finds out and rushes back to save her. And something terrible will happen again.
THIS. She loses 150 IQ points every time she thinks SJ might get hurt. And this is like the 17th time she's done this and IT ALWAYS MAKES THINGS WORSE but still she's like "I'm just gonna lie right to his face, break his heart in the worst possible way, and run off alone where the serial killer can kill me so he doesn't kill SJ 15 years from now--no way THIS time SJ is gonna somehow find me again and almost die saving me again when nothing bad would have happened if I'd just told him and the police." She's so so so so so dumb.
I love Reon Jae as much as many people do.But I have to defend Sol when people think that she doesn't love him…
Is it too much to ask for a FL to love herself the most? I want Sol to care about her OWN safety and life for once. I find her obsessive selflessness kinda sad, tbh.
Bittersweet I would say. One of my favorite scene so far of the series is Sol's heartfelt confession. I mean drawing…
I've never been so happy with an "I like you" "I love you" scene--normally I feel sad about it, but it felt like they both were vulnerable at the right level there.
not the people in this comment section calling the episode "filler until the last scene" 💀 y'all keep forgetting…
I -hated- the last scene cause it's just the same stupid sol abandoning for no reason shit again, but the rest was peak comedy and peak romance. The two of them were able to move their relationship to a fully real level for the first time. It moved the emotional plot forward A TON.
RIGHT? They were dishing out the plot twists so often at the beginning and I've been waiting for one, but they keep recycling this serial killer plot over and over.
I am really enjoying this show so much, but the one thing that is driving me CRAZY is that Sol has not learned anything from making the same mistake over and over and over. Multiple times now, every time she has gone to the past, terrible things have happened or almost happened because she tried to handle everything on her own without telling SunJae what was going on, or communicating with him at all. No matter how many times she saw the outcome of this, no matter how many times SJ has told her to be honest with him and let him in on it, no matter how many times she's seen how much her lying and being dishonest break his heart, no matter how many times she or he almost died because of it. And here we are AGAIN with her freaking out, acting out of her first overdramatic impulse and abandoning him yet again FOR NO LOGICAL REASON in some ridiculous attempt to protect him even though that HAS NEVER WORKED EVER.
This writer seems to have one and only one go to for conflict between them and keeps going back to it over and over. I don't even mind having the serial killer keep showing up, but can we find some other way to put them in danger than Sol being Queen of Noble Idiots for the 100th time? It's maddening.
Most dramas have a slump starting midway for like 4 episodes before the last week of the show. So ep 11 and 12 are usually when a good show suddenly gets silly or weird or drops in quality.
I just want to believe in the superstitious things. One episode they showed how kissing will lead to marriage.…
Yeah they showed that whole epilogue last time showing their wishes to be happy--they wouldn't do that if the show wasn't gonna pay it off in the end. They're telling us to hope!
