What happened at the end of the novel?

Toranaga said himself in the finale Anjin wasn't really that important, but was essentially a novelty that he enjoyed playing with. Which is how I see the actor having played the role--he's just a random sailor who is completely out of his element. I think he will have a bigger arc next season

Hard agree. Twinkling Watermelon was one of my fav shows this past year. But this show is on a different level.

Why does it feel like this drama is taiking YEARS to start, I need it !

He'll come back at the very end and will be involved in SJ's "suicide" I'm glad they're not dragging it out too much here-wrap it up for now and focus on the romance until the end

I assume SJ will be the one to go back next?

I watched this just for her and am not disappointed, she brought me to a great drama.

YES! I had that thought when she found out about her mom--she is actually learning a lot about her own life and what she was too busy to really notice and what she took for granted. I think the serial killer will be thwarted in the past in the next ep and then come into play later in the present but won't be that much of a focus, kinda like how he had a scene or two hinted at every ep till now.

Those two scenes made me laugh out loud, when he gave him the hug I screamed. One of my fav moments of the show. He's got great comedic timing, he really is such a dork.

I like that they're back in the future next week--I'd rather have that then them staying in the past forever, we got lots of cute moments already, I'm ready for more angst!! I figure that she altered the timeline too much or something, and will end up having to go back to the past again anyway.

That actor always plays the scary crazy evil dudes so I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the true villain

I feel like just when you think you know where the show is going they add in another twist so I think we will have a new twist tomorrow that will slightly change the way we see the show and they probably already have planned a bunch of tiny reveals like that through the end

I feel like every scene is shot and edited very carefully and that makes me excited because the writing seems very sure of where it’s going, I’m like you I have a few ideas but mostly am excited to see where it all goes

I think cause her teen self likes him and she doesn’t feel like she has the right. It’s confusing for her cause she doesn’t know when she’ll transport to the future

Ok also WHO DID MR JINGLE JANGLES KILL?? I kinda forgot w all the cute stuff but I’m so worried he killed future Im Sol or something crazy like that—anything is possible in a time slip drama!!

OK my theory is that SJ also transported back and that’s why he fell off the balcony in the present—he didn’t try to kill himself and has no idea future him is dead, he came back to save Im Sol from getting paralyzed. He gets extra sad every time she talks about not walking and ran in front of her so she wouldn’t walk into the street, also there is something wonky going on w the timeline cause Im Sol had the bruise/mark on her head again suddenly in the last scene when he confessed. I don’t think SJ went back as far as her I think he transported back to right before saving her from the bridge at the end of last episode. That’s also why he wasn’t as sad about not swimming cause it’s been a long time and he looked more nostalgic about it than anything.

I think he’s also legitimately considering not becoming a singer bc of how his life turned out. And now he sees an opportunity to be with Im Sol so has decided to take it.
