Looking forward to seeing Go Youn Jung playing a more reserved character, she tends to get the "bubbly" characters. I think she will bring a lot of depth to this role
The poster really captures a nice feeling, it's dark and gritty but with bright edges. I love this writer so I am ready to be taken to some truly deep emotional places.
I'm actually annoyed that they're only leaving two episodes to sort out all the lies because I'm really doubting…
Omg, I hadn't even considered this version of the drama! If she found out before they fully hit it off, like maybe after they have those first few charged moments of attraction, that woulda been very interesting.
I agree. If it had been revealed in the episode where they were drinking at the beach(?) I think then it would…
I feel like the whole memory plotline is kinda weak anyway, and just thrown in to add unnecessary mystery. There is enough conflict with just the main premise on its own. So taking that out of the story would have made it even stronger
We're at the "episodes long misunderstanding that could be cleared up with a 5 minute conversation" stage of the drama. Sigh.
Writers love throwing this kind of unrealstic scenario in purely for drama, it's so tedious. He had understandable reasons for not telling her at first and then got in too deep and was overwhelmed at how to come clean. He def should have told her earlier, but there wasn't any malice or manipulation in it, he was just being understandably human. Her not even letting him fully explain comes off as such manufactured drama and angst, especially after he'd been saying for days he had something he wanted to tell her. Even if he explained fully she would still feel hurt and need to take some time to deal with the truth and things wouldn't be the same between them for a while, but it would moving and realistic.
Disappointed at our second couple slow progression
I don't mind a slow burn, but we're not getting enough engagement from the guy. He seems to really just not have even suppressed romantic feelings for her at this point and so it's really fizzled out for me. I need SOME indication that he is longing for her in some way.
People saying Ka Young can't handle a role like this need to go watch Tempted, the drama sucked but she was amazing in it, she played a layered and serious character with a lot of deep pain and acted circles around the FL. She is way more capable than her romcom roles of recent years and I actually think she suits melodrama roles more
Chan seems to feel like he only deserves to be happy if he makes others happy, like he has to earn it, and it really breaks my heart. Haran warmed up to him not just cause he was nice to her, but when she found out what he had been through and saw what kind of person he was. I feel like he will just suffer in silence once she finds out the truth about the past cause he won't want to hurt her even if he hurts himself more in the process, and that's gonna be hard to watch.
I'm kinda upset at Haran and his grandma for pushing Chan and his dad to reconcile, the man was abusive and drove his son to suicide, that's not something you just forgive and forget cause it's been a few years.
This is a rare show where I completely get why the ML isn't being honest, cause telling her who he really is would also reveal her BF was a cheater who didn't even care enough to send her a few texts, which would be really painful after everything. I still think it would help her move on better, but I wouldn't be eager to tell someone that either.
It's also so refreshing that the FL has self awareness and is actaully changing and not making the same mistakes over and over, I have seen FLs not change in an entire season as much as this FL does in one episode.
I like the ML a lot but I find the way he forces smiles uncomfortable, but I guess that's the point? He flipped so hard to the happy side that it's more like toxic positivity at times, but he is realizing he has to face his past one way or the other, cause he got hella baggage to work through still.
I love the warmth and easy connection that has formed between them, and how they've both already been able to open up and learn from eachother. I am not bored in the slightest. I binged all 5 eps in one day and was so sad there wasn't a 6th!
Honestly why does the storyline seem so farfetched? I love lee sung kyung and really wanted to like this drama,…
It's easy to convince yourself that someone is just busy, esp when they're telling you everything is fine, she's human after all. And for the time the ML was talking to her instead she developed a closer bond, tho to me her deep sadness/trauma about it all was less how much she loved him and more about the fact that he died suddenly, just like her parents.
all the go youn jung haters are jealous bc they can’t be her…I can’t wait for this new drama the only problem…
Imagine calling Koo Kyo Hwan, Kim Seon-ho, Lee Jee Wook, and Seo In-guk ugly with your full chest, how embarrassing I would literally quit the internet
I wouldn't call her a great actress, but calling her "wooden" is pretty wild. That's why I can't take any of these negative comments seriously. You can tell when people are just commenting out of pettiness when they exaggerate. She has great chemistry with her costars every time, has good charisma, and does certain emotions/expressions/vibes very well. There are truly wooden actresses who she acts circles around, and there are actresses who act circles around her especially in some areas of more subtle acting. But she is talented enough to be given main roles like this esp if the director and writer believe in her ability.
I’m on episode 5. This drama is a mixed bag. I’m enjoying it while simultaneously frustrated by it. I’m…
SIG is sooo good once he actually has a part to play, it is worth the wait. But I don't think the second half washed out the bad taste from the first half, it's still quite frustrating even after it shifts more to the real world focus
This show has its really funny, dreamy, and even moving moments, but I'd suggest heavy use of the 2x speed button for this one. The first half really drags, I can only watch the FL fall for so many other dudes while the sparkling SIG is standing around in the background looking more handsome than ever and BEGGING to be the actual male lead. And once he is by god does he deliver, he is so wasted in this drama. I thought Jisoo brought a lot of energy into the role, but the writing for the FL (and maybe partly her performance) made her seem super capricious and that made it hard to really believe in their love. I really only cared about it cause Gyeon Nam is the weirdest, cutest little puppy ever and deserves to be happy.
