Title Fangs of Fortune Spoiler
I just want to remind people there are still many things I love about this Drama which I made clear from my early review. My only "crime" was that I'm unable to appreciate a particular cast and the storyline.

There are wonderful Cast who did great despite how crapy the storyline was written including a particular cast who came to spoil everything.

Lest take a look about how wonderful this cast performed.

1) Tian Jia Rui (ZYC): No one can deny the fact that ZYC was such a saving grace for FoF, just given the fact that he's a new actor, very new to the field, not many upcoming actors was able to set such records in their first and second roles.

TJR nailed his role as if he having been acting before he was born, my first impression of him was in "My Journey to you" as GYZ and then he then set a new records in FoF. Honestly anyone can vow that if without him, no one could watch FoF past 5 episodes.

I can't still forget his impressive action when Bai jiu was death, that is, The disbelief in him, his frustration, his anger, All was well-defined at the same time by one person. Such an emotional seen left me crying along with him. Not many actors both seasonal and old can achieve that.

He was also among the cast that compelled me to finish the serie, his impressive acting offset most of the boring moments triggered by some ridiculous cast.

2) Cheng duling (Wen Xiao): Bass on my past reviews, some accuse me of beefing CDL but that's the opposite reality, CDL was actually in my list of top 5 actress in China. I'm a very straightforward person and I won't cover up for my favorite when there is flaw in their role. CDL was such a great actress with unparalleled beauty.

You maybe surprised to know that my first impression of her was in "myth of sword" where she portrays two personality at the same time, second was in "TTEOTM" where she goes for what she wants and doesn't give a fck about what you think. Many dislike her but it seems I'm the only one who love her role in TTEOTM. Her villainous acting was very impressive that I can't have enough of that.

In FoF, I still love her even though I wasn't use to such type of role about her. The fact that they made her a crying queen with less ability to change situations was what I dislike, but that doesn't offset my good impression of her, rather I still find her cute.

3) Bai jiu and Ying Lei: This two character was what the director could have used for Humor, they are very fit for that and it suits their age very well. Baiju in particular was such a very talented young actor who can portray two personality at the same time, he was also very suit for humor, he's the only one who brought smiles and laughter to many during his comedic scenes. What he can achieve when he became adult has no limit.

4) Ya an(Li lun): Li lun was actually the reason why we still feel like there are two spaces in this drama which is "Human and demon" he lets us feel how demon character should be portrayed with all demonic traits. And not like some people who claimed they are demon lord but behaves like a catholic priest Lmao.

Li lun was very great in his acting and nailed his role as a demon πŸ‘Ή the only thing I find uncomfortable was the slow motion in his voice including other cast. You may not find out about this flaw if you don't understand mandarin though. But nevertheless that didn't offset his impressive portraying of demonic role. Looking forward to see what he got for us in "VoS"

5)And as for Pei si jing; I still can't get over the fact that she killed her own brother for her so called righteous cause, I just hate this type self-righteous character who are ready to sacrifice their love ones to save the world.

And yet she was only feeling sorry and guilty only when she found out her brother was innocent of her accusation. That's utterly nonsense, but nevertheless I still got my a place for her in "The World of Fantasy" and "Fallen into your smile"

I'm not going to keep illustrating but the rest of the cast did absolutely great for me which was why I gave the "cast" rating 8.5

It was 8.5 instead of 10 because of the ml who does a lot of damage to the serie with his unrealistic acting. Many Will argue that I got some collective hate against ml but that's the opposite. I love him in "Back from the brink" though, I just can't like how he suddenly chose to act this way in FoF. That was annoying beyond annoyance.

NOTE:

If you delve well into my different points across this platform, you will realize that I gave my reviews with no bias and and i don't care if you agrees or not, I'm not one among those who turn blind eye to reality and appease the populace.

If you don't like my way of critiques then is better for you to keep a distance because I don't beg you to engage, which will then lead to insult. I will block such type of people immediately they choose violence.

My review aren't meant for you but for people who actually needs it. There are hundreds of thousands of viewers in this platform and your bias opinions do not matter.

A Plot Hole-Ridden Mess

Review:

"Fang of Fortune" promised an intriguing blend of fantasy and adventure but ended up delivering a confusing and frustrating experience.

One of the most glaring issues with this show is its utter failure to distinguish between humans and demons, which is pivotal to the plot.

From the get-go, the series struggles to establish any meaningful differences between the two species. Both humans and demons in this show look, act, and even think in almost identical ways. What's the point of having demons if they're just humans with a slightly darker aura or a penchant for dramatic cloaks?

The plot holes are so vast you could drive a truck through them:

Lack of Cultural or Biological Distinction: There's no exploration of demon culture, biology, or their societal norms which could have added depth or at least some intrigue. Why should we care about a demon-human conflict when both sides are virtually interchangeable?

Magic and Powers: The rules for magic or demonic powers are as clear as mud. One episode, a character uses some grand, dark magic; in the next, they're as mundane as a human with no explanation for the inconsistency.

Motivations and Conflicts: The central conflicts often feel contrived because, without clear distinctions, it's hard to fathom why these beings are at odds. The demons' motivations for their actions could have been compelling, but instead, it's all just generic villainy.

Character Development: Characters from both species are flat, with human characters occasionally showing more "demonic" traits than the actual demons. It's a mess when you can't tell if a character's betrayal or heroism stems from their inherent nature or just bad writing.

Plot Convenience: The narrative often resorts to the most convenient plot devices to move the story along, ignoring previously established "rules" or characteristics, further blurring the line between humans and demons.

In summary, "Fang of Fortune" squanders its potential with a storyline riddled with plot holes, particularly in its neglect to craft any meaningful distinction between humans and demons.

This oversight not only undermines the plot but also any emotional investment one might have in the characters or the story's resolution. If you're looking for a coherent fantasy with well-thought-out world-building, keep looking.

Zhao Lusi is not an actress, she cannot act, so "Character Arcs" doesn't even apply to her at all. She's a rich…

My advice; stop comparing and stop any personal attack on anyone regardless of whatever reasons.

I'm not innocent, as I do criticize "bad characters" in dramas in the most toxic way.

But that remains in the script or drama alone, this criticism and insult should not go beyond the script, talk more of personal attack on the actor. That's outrageous and shouldn't be practiced.

I hope this is a joke and don't tell me you are serious.
Zhao Lusi is one of the most versatile actress in China and no one here is degrading zhao Liying over Lusi. Liying is also a legend and I hope you stop comparing the two legend.

Disappointingly Dull: The Decline of "Fangs of Fortune"

The drama "Fangs of Fortune," which initially promised a riveting blend of mysticism and fantasy has unfortunately seen its ratings plummet, and it happens for good reasons.

You can check the reasons at

https://kisskh.at/discussions/the-story-of-mystics/133666-cringe-comedic-effort-by-ml-plot-holes

In conclusion, "Fangs of Fortune" has unfortunately become a lesson in how not to maintain viewer interest. With its ratings dropping, it's clear that the audience has spoken.

This drama, which everyone taught it was a beacon of potential, has failed to keep its fangs sharp, leaving fans and casual viewers alike to seek their fortune elsewhere.

Those who wants to control and promote the fandom while misleading viewers about this Drama, can't control people's emotions. The people have spoken and the truth will always win.

At last I'm not wrong about my facts. GOOD Riddance.....

The embarrassing attempt to force laughter in a serious situation by ML.

I still want to keep singling out all plot holes for viewers who can't find a honest review in the comment section.

I've witnessed many attempts at comedy in dramas, but the male lead's comedic efforts in "Fang of Fortune" are by far the most cringe-inducing I've seen.

ML's attempt at humor is like watching someone try to squeeze laughter out of a stone - utterly fruitless Lmao.
His timing is off by a mile; punchlines fall flat not because they're written badly, but because his delivery is akin to a robot learning human emotions for the first time.

His facial expressions during supposedly humorous scenes are more suited to a drama about existential crisis than a light-hearted moment.

Instead of eliciting laughs, you're left cringing or feeling secondhand embarrassment...
His attempt at witty banter is equally disastrous.

Lines that should spark laughter or at least a smile are delivered with such lack of inflection or understanding that they might as well be read from a teleprompter. It’s like watching someone else's attempt at humor through a very bad translator.

Furthermore, there's zero chemistry with the cast during ML comedic exchanges except for (Bai jiu and Ying Lei). His interactions with comedic relief characters feel forced, as if they're trying to pull humor out of him with a pair of pliers haha πŸ˜‚.

The lack of natural flow in a serious scenes due to unnecessary jokes by ML kills any potential for humor, leaving the audience with awkward silences instead of laughter.

In summary,
His comedic performance is a testament to how not to do comedy in a drama. It’s not just a missed opportunity; it's a comedy tragedy.

Hoping that in future roles, HMH either finds a better script or a comedy coach because this was nothing but a disaster to the whole plot.
You will want to break your screen and wished you are deaf during this embarrassing momentss...

More reviews to come about the plot hole.

And yet you still find this ridiculous mediocre reason logical?
Your opinion is welcomed but is quite ridiculous to label people as hate for just asking a simple question.
