You do made some solid points though. I also disagrees with Hua zhi's Grand-Pa moral conduct against a ruling king. He was indeed recklessly-disrespectful and brought all misfortune to his family. This tragedy could have been slightly avoided with a very soft approach.
But don't forget that the tyranny-king have set his eyes already on Hua family to bring it down. So even if that grand-pa moment was avoided, the king will always creat a new opportunity to destroy the people he doesn't like. Don't tell me that something glittering is sprouting out of someone who morally killed his relatives

Well, China have a very strict gun rule; in China though civilian police don't casually flex with gun like what you see in America, but at least the crime investigation teams are allowed to do so when police authorities are threatened. So most at times the gun are being carried by the police-SWAT team in every serious crime case. But unfortunately this drama fails to utilize this advantages.
