No i said his family betrayal and negligence made him killed them.
There was a time when he want to take revenge on his brother only, hoping his father to do justice for him. But his step mom pleaded for his brother with her suicide, telling his father why he shouldn't punish his last family hope over a useless son(2ML) who can no longer walk nor accomplish anything.

A lot of things are yet to unraveled in the next episodes.
But currently here is what I understand on his misfortune.
. He was set up by his own brother and then got tortured resulting him to lose his 9 sense out of 10, and his tendon broken,
. He was then saved by the pavilion master with a magical pearl that reconstruct all his broken tendon but not his 9 sense.
. And as for why he no longer needs the pearl; that may be because he is very capable enough or may have found a solution on how to continue living without the pearl over the years.
. This misfortune was what turned him evil earlier than we taught, making him to slaughter all his clan in a guiltles motivation.
I dont know why people assume that those that enjoy the SML are rooting for him to be with the FL and that him…
We all like and enjoys the 2ML, he's super handsome and versatile in his role. But indeed there are many people here rooting for him and FL and thats a fact. They have made many remarks about it unless you are not following the comments.
Secondly; I don't know where you get that from, but nobody wish him to die alone. I even stated in my previous comments about the possible relationship that might bloom between him and his Maid(Feng Yao)

Yes no doubt, he cares about them being together and the possibility of how he can snatch the girl from his bossom friend....He haven't even talk about the emotionless-water with ML yet. So yes! He cares so much for XXC.

Well said, I did the same when I started watching Chinese drama... Trust me, there is no way you can grab the whole meaning in drama if you only rely on translations.
You are right many of them are hard to finish, but I normally drop every drama that doesn't capture my interest within the 5 episodes. Currently I'm watching "The blossoming love" and I'm enjoying it so far.
There are still many things I'm yet to understand about the parallel world in this drama though.Is the ML world…
