What's wrong with discussing characters and story, we all love this story which is the exact reason we are discussing it. no one said ZZ isn't good, we are just analyzing why they didn't end up together. also yeah we get he's reborn but like XW said in ep 23 "if you don't plan to reciprocate stop bugging her". ning er is thinking of this life as a new start and if he would just allow it they maybe could have ended up together. yeah moral righteousness isn't a weakness but it is in this case for love, he realized too late that he likes her too and wants to be with ning er. look at yan lin, he was reborn as well. we all enjoy the drama no one said it wasn't written well. you're free to have your own views but you should be respectful to others. next time before you make accusations please gasp the actual context. hope you have a great day.

yea, when he was chasing the dumb xue son I was so anxious and a bit annoyed. also the fake xing ding fei is right, hes just a scholar why is he staying to fight ;-; maybe because he remembers the last life he probably still think XW is bad so he doesn't trust him. also when ning er saved him the first thing he did was scold her, which is understandable but why scold her when shes flirting with him ;-; i know he's trying to be a gentlemen but the girl is basically saying she likes you, he's being a knucklehead ;-;

This episode had really sweet Ning er and ZZ moments but it also showed how incompatible they are. 1) every time Ning er flirts with him, he says nonsense or inappropriate. he clearly likes her but he doesn't reciprocate the feeling back. I get he has moral but when someone is clearly into you and you are too but you don't show it, its almost cowardly like the saying goes "opportunity only comes to does that work for it" 2) he has too strong of a moral, a need to be good so much he is inconsiderate of his life and ning er and how his safety would affect ning er. For example for XW its always ning er first ning er's safety first. he's too good to everyone and too stubborn.

Also, did anyone notice the awkward silence when Ning er protected ZZ but XW was actually aiming at the bad guy lol.

I think he doesn't because he's trying to protect her. Kind of like how he doesn't tell Lord Yan everything.
