honestly I think its the empress's fault, like he knew that the empress got his dad's back and him following his daddy around all the time he got his attitude from him. The crown prince has always said he had no interest in being emperor and he was never someone that used his role as a reason to order people around (which is why I think yan lin gets along with him so well, if he was all serious, yan lin wouldn't be able to be carefree around and joke with him like he does).

I'm on episode 15 and im so annoyed. brooo can we talk about how this duke xue's second son is so stupid he has no respect for the crown prince whatsoever, not only him but his soldiers too. I finished a couple of days ago and I'm so sad, I miss them so much. All the characters are so unique. It was a real roller coaster like it would be super silly one scene and then suddenly gets super sad. They did everything so well, the story the jokes the cast.
