Your comparison doesn't make any sense. It's like saying you can't go to Germany for vacation while still being pissed at the nazis. It's not about Japan now, it's about Japan colonizing Korea and commiting atrocities during that time. That being said, canceling an actress for something her great-grandfather did is completely stupid. She probably wasn't even aware that her ancestor collaborated with the Japanese colonizers, or she wouldn't have talked about it on tv. It must be so rough for her.
