Lots of action and a bit of romance
From the beginning to episode 30 I loved this drama. that's not to say I didn't enjoy the last episode but I felt they could have done more for the story. Like they shouldn't have dragged the breakup so long, would have loved to see them in love. it feels unfinished. They shared one kiss and that was it. so disappointing. I love seeing his heart and his dilemma, but not to give him and us the readers an actual view of what happy looks like for them, is just borderline cruel. This is what I feel is always the case, the drama is great and has amazing stories then writers get lazy or complacent and focus on parts no one cares about.

Romantic and beautiful peice woth great flow.
This story felt different. I love the fact that i get to explore through joseon times and see marriages and how couples get together. The acting was great. Great music, costumes, production. But most importantly, this story doesn't feel like a repeat of all the others, they finished it well without questions as to what happened to characters and it was just great flow.Only con is that annoying boy with the lipstick, calling the boys big sis which aslways threw me off and felt weird (like trying to fill an lgbtq quota for a period drama) *eye roll*. That's why they get a 9.5 and not a 10.
There was not an episode that felt drawn out or like an afterthought, which is what I've been observing with some dramas. None of that here.
Love love love. Would totally recommend.

Slowburn wannabe
I usually love slow burns but this one was one i didnt really like for being a slow burn wannabe. It didnt have the slow speed all throighout and keep you engaged like they usually do. I liked the concept and the story, I just felt like the flow and speed was hit or miss and i wish they made him manlier. Was this review helpful to you?
Waste of time if you like deeep romance
I usually love well written deep romance. And I wanted something light but this was so shallow and so useless. Basically ended with like a weird one night stand and then it just tried to make it cute and wrap it in a bow, which I'm not buying.I was so sick of useless characters that should not have even been here getting so much camera time (like tha David stuff) when they could have just used that time to Write a better story and make the main characters fall in love with each other even more. The lame breakup just to breakup. I just did not find it necessary at all. I did not like this drama at all.

A "SOME" that never went farther
Literal biggest waste of my time. I was so mad that I wasted 16 hours of my life that I will never get back on this show. the fact that they never got together until the 48th minute in the last episode is wild to me. I hated this. I will never recommend it to anybody one star if I could give it zero I would. Was this review helpful to you?
Slow start but COMPLETE end ❤️ ?
10/10 would recommend to watch and would definitely rewatch with my friends. This was actually such a breath of fresh air. I really liked how they ended it which is why I rated it so high if it had stayed the way that it was throughout to the end I would not have rated it high but the end is so good and so justified that I rated it high.I was really frustrated that they had a concept of being able to see smells and they used it a limited amount of times when it could have been used all throughout and shown better. I felt like they kind of dropped the ball on thatThey only used it when it was convenient for them and I don't think it was well written for the kind of concept that I thought I was going to get. The "use" of her gift felt pretty lazy; they used it to move the story along and in some spaces when it should have been used and was necessary they did not add it. I just felt like they could have done so much better with that concept it's such an original concept.
The OST did not disappoint. The acting in some spaces felt like it could have been better executed with a couple more takes. And the production and editing didn't age well. I was expecting way better for 2015. These are the little nitpicky things that would have dropped my ratings if the ending wasn't so cute and complete.
until about episode 6 I felt like it was so slow to show you the romantic parts but then as you progressed on it actually gets so much better which is why I stuck with it. I loved how they show the mundane and how they show you the thriller part in episode 16 instead of just doing 15 and then 16 being the happy episode. IT felt well thought out and like the happy ending was not an afterthought.

Great drama and concept studip abrupt ending.
The drama as a whole was really good. But as always, the end left a lot to be desired. It felt forced and way too abrupt. The suspense, the goods times, the funny tines, I had a great time watching it thats why i was disappointed in the abrupt end and how they ended up not being together even though they were trying to sell us this "she meets him again in new joeson" and have the men say the same things proving their hearts are in the fact the same and they're both the same, she rejected the poor man who was her original husband and who loved her and she left her parents greiving on the other side, thinking she was murdered by that guy who never paid for killing her. He was sentenced to beheading but I guess he escaped and they didnt show him paying for it. I just feel like there are holes all over that ending and it should have been better thought out

Started well and then all hell broke loose
Super fun story to watch... at first. From ep 1-10 i thoroughly enjoyed the story with laughs and just cringy moments which i welcomed. Then the writers lost their minds and started twisting this story into a billion different direction with some Background characters who started out super unhealthy but ended being extremely happy compared to the main couple.
I just feel like the ending sucked and they ruined a whole story that could have been so much better if they had just stuck to it and actually helped the characters develop instead of trying to do tricks. it was just cheap I did not like the ending at all I think they should just redo it because this had the same potential to be as good as "because it's my first life" and they literally ruined it completely in the end and the abrupt breakups which both made no sense I feel we're so dumb and they shouldn't just left the characters together and had given them actual real life issues instead of doing these dumb twists. It was promising and then it just failed even though that ending was happy ish I just don't like it at all I feel like they just missed the mark completely on this one.

Promising...
It started out well and I couldn't put it down until episode 7, by episode 10 I was so done. I just felt like with the cast they had the writers could have told a better story. It felt lazy and overcomplicated to take up time. And the villains didn't really pay for their crimes in the end. There was no getting to see the main people we wanted to see togeter, together. Last episode was rushed and felt like an afterthought. Just lame. Was this review helpful to you?
If you don't like silly dramas with exaggerated scenes, stay away.
7/10 Amazing with some not-so-great moments. It's silly and cute with some social justice points and mildly inappropriate romance. wouldn't be comfy watching it with my mom, but can recommend it to peers. Though this one is full of flaws in my personal opinion, I still enjoyed it and can easily recommend it.PROS:
I love how much he loved her and how he fought for her and vice versa for her at the start. There wasn't any unnecessary, "let's break up and be apart for something we can get over in two seconds if we just talk it out," kind of stuff. I also loved how even if sometimes it felt preachy, in the end, they always tried to kind of balance it out. It left a smile on my face.
The supporting characters and even the villain are just phenomenal. they made the story sometimes. You will be laughing your face off and then crying at some points as they touch on a lot of issues.
It's a happy ending and I am a sucker for those.
I'm not someone who likes to complain about plots or acting or OST because I go with the flow of the story and accept it as it is. I don't criticize the writer or blame it on the attitudes of FL or ML.
CONs:
So now that you know this, it's shocking to me that this story had so many unwarranted highs and lows with the love story, that it made me consider badmouthing the plotline in my mind, which I never do. I just hated how she always treated him like crap and he had to apologize for everything, even though he had her best interest in mind.
It also felt a little too preachy with the girl power. I'm sick of this girl power, independent woman crap that keeps getting shoved down everyone's throats in American media and now seems to be infiltrating my safe space with K-dramas. they even had to ruin her style to do it(the ugly dress, in the end, distracted the audience from the story because it was so questionable and cheap).
This honestly was the most immodestly dressed FL I've ever seen and I've watched a TON of dramas. I like K-dramas for their purity and innocence. this one broke that. if you're into that then I guess you'll love the 16+ rated scenes. I didn't. Also dislike how they turned FL into an insufferable person at times for her wild takes that made no sense.
But if you wanna have a laugh and you don't care about innocence and purity or rollercoaster love journeys, then watch it. You'll have a blast.

A Love So beautiful
If you are on the fence about watching this one, it's so worth it.Watch it now. Let me start by saying, I never thought that this was where it was going to lead. i watched it reluctantly because I didn't feel like watching high school drama but it was so highly rated on here rated on here, I was like there's no way it's that good. I didn't even know it was gonna be about time traveling or anything like that. I was literally expecting high school kids Drama kind of thing. And oh my gosh, what was I wrong? I absolutely loved this one. It was insane. The ride was crazy. The actors did amazing, they each made you belive the roll and just embodied it so well. The OST was killing it. The band was awesome. Everything was really, really well done. I see why everybody's loving this because it really hits you right in the family. They did such a great job with the balance of present and future, by episode 4 I knew it was a ten and couldn't out it down. You just kind of felt like you grew with them. And I really have nothing bad to say about it. oh wait, the one thing that I found was that I really wanted to know how I get met again because she was supposed to go overseas and never come back and so I don't know how they met again. also, I was gonna say that it has less romance focused than I'm used to or prefer, but the whole thing is about love itself and even the love stories that they had in there surpassed several Romcoms because you're rooting for a love that actually came true and made kids.
So this is going to my top favorite list. it outdid Lovely Runner for me. I don't even know who wrote this, but I'm literally gonna follow them and watch Everything they make. It's so good. Just wow.

Steadfast love transcending time itself
I almost didn't watch this because of the haters in the reviews but I'm glad I didn't read too many and gave this title a shot. If you love the ride or die, steadfast love then you'll love this. There were so many things I liked about this drama that it made everything else I found I didn't like completely forgettable within the best 30 minutes of the episode. I love the way this writer writes. The way she wrote the different timelines. How it didn't feel overwhelming to keep track of everything, and how the sorrow never stayed for too long, because it was so stupid in your in-your-face funny way. Which is what I like. I loved all the integration between families and friendship and how all those subplots could never overshadow the main couple's story, which usually happens a lot. I love how when they're high schoolers, she keeps cute and innocent, but once they step into adulthood, you can feel the change in their chemistry and how they seem to love each other more deeply and we're more desperate for each other.LIKES:
- ep 1 was amazing, so hooked, and production looks just wow.
-I love that there was a really cute bromance between the guy who was supposed to be the second lead. Instead of putting hatred between them, it was more like friendship
- only ep 2 and I'm laughing so much my sister had to come tell me to shut up
- by ep 5 you couldn't get me to stop watching it if you tried. It's SO GOOD. This has the potential to be one of my favorites of all time
-The way they revealed the story, like a slow unveiling of a masterpiece.
-The concept is fresh and well done
- They always have them masterfully back together. Less cheesy, more realistic, and like something that could possibly happen if two people love each other. Not the time travel part but how they're always back to together.
- I thought they were going to erase the last 13 episodes from his mind and start anew, but I was so wrong, and for that I'm thankful -we were FULLY rewarded for all the heartache and pain from episodes 1 to 14. We got two full episodes of resolutions and love. It was beautiful.
DISLIKES:
-dint have much because the writer always corrected the things I found wrong with an episode. Not much to complain about.
- I was anxious thinking the bad guy would come back because of how quickly that was resolved. For a man we spent 15 episodes fearing, his end was pathetic and too quick. But I'm also appreciative of that cause I really didn't want to go through more hard times.
Overall, if you love romance and suspense put together and time travel well written not to tear your heart out but make you happy then this is the one. I came into it with no pre-existing feelings towards the main ML as an actor, neither loved nor hated him for being overrated or whatever, and I think that helped me stay subjective. I purely came and stayed for the plot and their love. And I was not disappointed.

Memorable. Completely psychotic. Somehow perfect.
If you like intense, high-budget fantasy romances with insane chemistry, unpredictable storytelling, and a love that feels a little unhinged (in the best way), then you will probably love this drama. I went into this one very hesitant because fantasy can easily cross into territory I don’t enjoy, but surprisingly, this drama pulled me in and never let go. It was beautiful, funny, emotionally heavy, and completely captivating. This is one of those dramas where you finish it and it still lives in your head long after. That said, this is also the only drama where I will ever accept an afterlife happy ending — and that alone says a lot.
LIKES
-Stunning production, costuming, and cinematography — everything looked expensive and intentional
-BOTH main leads killed thier rolls. They did so well.
-Chemistry between the leads; their love felt intense, obsessive, and deeply emotional
-Completely unpredictable plot — I never knew what was coming next
-Surprisingly funny; the comedy landed without undercutting the emotions
-The love story was wild, dramatic, and unforgettable
-Emotional moments hit HARD (some scenes still live in my head)
-Explored pain, depression, and healing in a way that felt meaningful
-One line alone — “There is only one God” — genuinely mattered to me
-The only drama where an afterlife ending felt earned and fitting
DISLIKES
-Casual and inaccurate handling of spiritual themes (angels, hell, afterlife hierarchy). A few moments leaned into blasphemous or misleading ideas that I didn’t love.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I shocked myself by how much I loved this drama. It’s bold, chaotic, emotional, and strangely beautiful. While I still have reservations about certain themes, the love story, performances, and execution were so strong that I couldn’t deny how powerful it was. This drama made me laugh, cry, think, and feel — and that’s rare.
I’m giving this a 9.5/10 (honestly a 9.9 in my heart). If they had ended up alive together, it would have been a perfect 10. Still, this was almost flawless in execution and left me completely satisfied.
Highly memorable. Completely psychotic. Somehow perfect.

Bun appetit to my heart
This is a drama I would happily rewatch and recommend to anyone who loves romance with a unique concept and strong chemistry.I absolutely loved this drama, and I did not expect to fall this hard. I started it out of curiosity and ended up completely obsessed. I binged multiple episodes in one day, stayed up way too late watching it, and even kept watching it while traveling. It became my little reward at the end of the day, and I looked forward to it every single time. The romance, the concept, and the execution were all so satisfying that I couldn’t stop.
LIKES:
-The concept was so fun and refreshing
-Watching a modern chef experience Joseon-era cooking was fascinating
-I loved seeing a new industry showcased through romance
-Every food scene felt like a commercial — beautifully shot and mouth-watering
-The way they fell in love felt natural and earned
-Strong chemistry between the leads
-Amazing production, music, and visuals
-I loved the devotion and emotional connection between them
-The story was engaging from the very beginning
DISLIKES:
-The ending felt rushed
-I wish it had been longer (14 episodes instead of 12)
-The transition from Joseon to modern times felt abrupt
-I was confused about how he got back to her — I wish they had shown or explained it
-For a moment, it felt like the romance was sidelined for politics, which frustrated me
CONCLUSION: This drama completely stole my heart. I loved the romance, the food, the historical setting, and the way the characters connected with each other. Even though the ending could have been handled more clearly, it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the journey.

would you give me butterflies
Don't listen to bad reviews! If you love light, romantic, comforting dramas that feel warm, funny, and safe — the kind you’d rewatch when you just want to feel good — then WATCH THIS NOW!This felt like rain on a sunny day. Beautiful, romantic, fluffy, calming, and surprisingly satisfying. I was honestly shocked at how much I loved it, especially after seeing how low some of the ratings were. This should be sitting comfortably in the low 8s at minimum.
This drama felt like it was made for me.
LIKES
— The fashion, cast, and production are top-notch. There’s a nostalgic, comforting quality to the visuals that made the whole drama feel cozy and familiar.
— I fully expected the male lead to be boyish and the female lead to be a doormat — and I was wrong on both counts. He’s not childish at all, and she stands up for herself consistently.
— The pacing feels right. New characters are introduced naturally, nothing feels random, and the story flows smoothly.
— It genuinely feels like Marry My Husband meets Because This Is My First Life, which is basically my dream combo.
— Their chemistry is great, and I loved how fast things progressed without feeling rushed.
— I love how the male lead takes charge in a way that feels protective and intentional, not controlling.
— The first love side story was surprisingly sweet and meaningful.
— The first kiss was stunning, earned, and deeply reassuring — both for the viewers and for her as a character. It was manly of him to not let her push him away.
— The female lead’s mom is one of the best K-drama moms I’ve seen in a while — loving, understanding, forgiving, and emotionally healthy. A great role model.
— Episode 8, their night walk / first date? Absolutely beautiful. I was crying.
— This drama fixes its problems as it goes. Every time I thought, “please don’t drag this,” they resolved it quickly.
— The villains actually paid — fully. No soft landings, no “they still live okay” nonsense. One of them literally gets executed, which was shocking but satisfying.
— The second male lead’s character development surprised me in the best way. I ended up really liking him, and I’d honestly watch a spinoff of his story.
— The hate for this drama is completely unwarranted. This felt like one of the most complete light romance dramas I’ve seen in a long time.
— It doesn’t overcomplicate itself, but it gives you everything you need.
— Fake marriage, office romance, forced proximity, revenge, suspense, devotion — it’s literally everything I love rolled into one.
DISLIKES
— Around episode 6, I got genuinely annoyed when the cheating ex came back and she started letting him get away with things he absolutely did not deserve.
— (And even this? They fixed it. Quickly.)
FINAL THOUGHTS
I almost didn’t watch this because of the ratings, and that would have been a huge mistake. This is one of my top comfort, fluffy romance dramas, and I will absolutely rewatch it.
It’s warm. It’s romantic. It’s satisfying. It doesn’t waste your time. And it actually lets bad people face real consequences.
Rating: 10/10 for me.
If you love light romance with substance, clear devotion, and emotional payoff, don’t let the reviews scare you off like they almost scared me.
