I've said it for his last drama and I'll say it again: Richard Li is one of the best kisser in Cdrama land. No matter who the FL is, he always delivers 😉

No it's never the ML, always some other associate or partner of the FL's work company. And the ML is usually supposed to play the hero who saves her from the man.
It started out great but I got really annoyed by the leads' childish attitudes, especially the ML. The romance's evolution wasn't that good, didn't feel much chemistry but some scenes were cute. The 2nd ML was a pain in the B- the whole drama 🙃 I had 0 sympathy for him or his story.
The first half was interesting but I kinda lost interest in the political plot by the 29th episode :/
How comes there are so many Office Chinese drama where some boss/manager isn't a creep and pervert trying to get their female employees drunk or attempting to assault them? Does it really happen that often in China? It's rather concerning to see it so often ...
Not really. The ML's nephew had a crush on FL but he's about 19yo and she thinks of him as a little bother. Then there's the FL's highschool best friend who was also interested but she's not at all.
I will never understand why the mom did this. That woman never listened to anything her son was saying but when he suggested to play dead she ran with it?? Why would she agree to put on an act as if he had died and go cry to his girlfriend? That's so cruel and nonsensical. So he was all alone for 5 whole years without any of his friends' support and then just came back like a flower to say he's still alive 🙃🤷♀️

I really appreciated this story. The characters were fun and interesting. Even the secondary couples' stories were interesting. I liked how original it was compared to the usual Chinese office drama plots.
The romance seemed natural and their chemestry was great. The ML's character was amazing, probably one of my favorite roles of Xu Kai. The FL is a great actress.
And bonus : No toxic over-protective parents, we've had enough of those ...😬

I like their usual interactions too, but that bet was so weird and out of character from what they've shown so…
Lol there's a huge difference between drinking a gross mixture and having sex over a lost bet 🙃 Although I agree there was a very flirty mood that day, it could have gone 100 better ways.
