Wow I was really looking forward to this after reading the webtoon, and nearly everything is different. This is an insult to the author of the webtoon. Why even bother doing this when you are going to change so much? I mean originally she was a teacher and made her working in the alcohol industry? Definitely dropping this.
Idk about great scripts but I've watched quite a few romcoms that had good storylineGood manager Lovestruck in…
Twinkling Watermelon was fantastic, I gave it a 9.5. While it did have some cliches, they were used sparingly. And unlike Lovely Runner, it didn’t rely so much on the time travel.
wow the rating dropped so much. the last I checked it was 8.6 and now it's 8.0
They’ll probably continue to drop, as they should. It was not good and unoriginal. A middle school kid could have written this script. Just dream up every cliche in the book and voila, there you go. I personally would give it a 5-5.5. It’ll probably end up like 7.7-7.8.
The screenwriter on this really messed up big time. Just taking every cliche in the book and throwing it all out there. It makes me think she was forced to make changes to appeal to the masses. If you want to see an actual really good drama, check out Mystic Pop-Up Bar. Honestly, I can’t even believe it’s the same writer, night and day difference.
It's not that the show wants to forget they ever existed. It's just a known fact that people go completely into…
Yeah well I rarely watch romantic comedies, but I decided to try this because of the high rating and the buzz on this. Lesson to self: don’t trust ratings on MDL.
Don't say it out loud or the fanatics will come after you and term you as Tate boy because they don't understand…
I agree with everything you said. I personally thought 2521 was a fantastic drama. I couldn’t believe so many people complained about the ending. This is actually what happens more than often in real life, it happened to me. My take is more (a lot more) want to see fantasy trope-driven shows all wrapped up with a happy ending than a great, original thought provoking drama. I’m ok with that but the problem is there are way, way more of the former than the latter. I just don’t want to see a writer not making shows like 2521 because they fear a backlash from the crazy “netizens”.

LOL! In your third paragraph you said “if the scriptwriters were logical”. There is absolutely nothing logical about this show at all. I’ve been commenting about the sister a lot only to be shut down. To me the icing on the cake was that fire scene where she miraculously became as strong as an Olympic weightlifter and carried him on her back down a flight of stairs no less. Oh, and she broke the glass with some trophy or something (which in reality would have been so hot she’d have third degree burns on her hand). Of cousin reality both of them would have died from smoke inhalation, but hey those are just minor details. I don’t know, maybe I’d enjoy this more if I drank a bottle of wine before each episode 🤷♂️
Currently on episode 8 and I can say the FL has completely lost the charm she had in the earlier episode. The…
Yes totally agree. Many people here continued to defend her actions because “she was desperate because she had to pay her sisters debts and mothers hospital bills”, blah blah blah. That’s total BS and no excuse. She could have found other ways to get the money without doing all these things. Her dumbass sister pretty much got off without any repercussions. I would have made an attempt to find her and told her to get a damn job.
I agree with your comments under this drama, but isn't this how all kdramas are anyways? Would genuinely love…
Are you kidding me? No not all dramas are the same. While many dramas use tropes as a plot device, not anywhere near the extent that this one does. I can think of a hundred better than this, but I’m not going to name them all. A few of my favorites:

The Cinderella story here of overbearing CEO falling for a kind but LOSER trepid girl is the classic trope in…
Exactly. This is totally meant for 18-24 year old women. Is it any wonder so many women’s expectations of men are so unrealistic after watching a steady diet of these shows?
With difficulty. I can’t get anything done because of these silly-ass dramas. Yet, I stay watching them 🤪🤦🏾♀️😅
Ok bro, got it. Just a suggestion, if you expect men in real life to be like men on these fake fantasy dramas you’re just setting yourself up for disappointment.
I’m really struggling to find any redeeming qualities at all with this FL. Drops the F-bomb every two seconds, drinks like a fish, lives a pampered life( has she ever had a job?), and treats the ML like a doormat. Yet for some reason this guy can’t get over her and nearly killed himself because of her. Yeah makes total sense. This is desperation with a capital D. No rational guy with half a brain would put up with this woman’s shenanigans.
The difference here being SML is a third wheel in a budding relationship, and he clearly sees it's ongoing and…
Yeah I never said I condoned the SML behavior. All I’m saying is how crazy it is people are making the SML an evil person and the SFL to be an angel. I find what she is doing equally repulsive, especially using the kid.
I find it funny all the hate for the SML because he likes the FL and pursuing her. Yet everyone loves the SFL even though she is doing the exact same thing stalking the 2ML. He has clearly indicated he is not interested in her yet she continues to persist, even going through his young kid to try to get him to like her. She needs to just back off. But of course with her spoiled and privileged upbringing she should get anything she wants. The fact is neither the SML or SFL should be in a relationship.
