The second season is a bit slow and the plot is quite flat. So far (epi 12) there's not much going on besides the stepmom, not sure if she is being overprotective or pretending to be. I hope they drop the rest of the episodes in one go, looks like I will be fast-forwarding a lot in the middle. I prefer the first season for sure. I'm a sucker for historic C-dramas.

I agree, they shouldn't drag out this drama further then season 2. I love this drama but I hope these last 2 episodes will be the end.

Normally i take 4/5 episodes before dropping a drama, but this will be the first drama i dropped after 5 minutes…
I stuck it out until episode 6, can't handle it anymore. Dropped. I tried to stay for Jin Yan but the plot is too boring and the leads have zero chemistry. After "Story Of Yanxi Palace", all the dramas Jin Yan starred in was quite disappointing, imo.

The message was, go with your heart and date who you like. No relationships are guaranteed to last. She had a moment of hesitation when she saw potato boy but she held on to her man's hand and walked away with him. This drama was more than just erotic for me, it showed real human emotions in a relationship. It dug deep for me! I'm sure many people can relate to a lot of the characters in this drama.

Yes it was toxic. Yes it was messy. But don't we all feel these raw emotions in a relationship? I'm glad he changed for the better and I'm happy they got back together at the end. For me, it was a perfect ending. An 8+ for the rawness, physical chemistry between the leads, and a happy ending!

That was exactly my thought as well. As soon as she figured out who the ML was and "fell in love", all was immediately forgiven between her BFF and ex BF that betrayed her. I was a bit surprised how quickly she forgave them as soon as she liked someone else.
